Thrifty Tuesday: Round Metal Mirrors!

For the past year or so I have had a thing for round metal mirrors and captains mirrors. You may have noticed the captains mirror in Shea’s home tour yesterday and it was reaaal good.

There is no lack of inspiration for using large round mirrors and I honestly love every since room displaying one.

Whether yours style is traditional, modern, or eclectic a simple round mirror works.

You also can’t go wrong with a classic captains mirror.

I must have a round mirror in my bathroom. I can’t get enough.

No post would be complete without a little round-up, and I did my best to find a few options that won’t totally break the bank.

Do you have a round mirror on your must-have list as well?
Also, for those who left design questions a few posts back, I am working on a post full of answers! I hope to have it ready soon.

Stunning & Livable Home Tour!

Last week Shea Mcgee’s home tour was featured on Style Me Pretty Living.
It is not only oh-so-pretty, I also think it is perfect mix of style and comfort.

I always fall hard for a white kitchen.

And the deep navy walls are just stunning.

Isn’t it just dreamy? You can see the rest of the tour here.
You also must head over to Shea’s blog to see a few before photos, very inspiring!

Best Colorful Geometric Rugs

I am currently designing a couple of children’s spaces right now and I can’t seem to stay away from bright and colorful rugs.
I find myself keeping the bedding neutral, adding pops of color in the pillows, and a bold colorful pattern on the rug.
If there is any space in your house to have a little fun, a children’s room/playroom is it!
Here are a few of my favorite colorful rugs:

In our next place Emory and Theo will be sharing a room again and I can’t wait to make it a fun and inspiring space for them…and I think I will start with the rug!

DIY Glitter LOVE Art!

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner I couldn’t help but want to add a little love to my home.
Changing out the art in my gallery wall has been on my to-do list for a while now and a little glitter was just what the doctor ordered.
This DIY glitter love art was inexpensive (less than $3.00) and perfectly festive. The nice thing is it works all year round too. That’s right, I have no plans of taking it down after the 14th.
This just might be one of my favorite and easiest DIY projects to date.
I downloaded this font (it is free!), printed it on cardstock, applied Elmers glue on top of the letters, sprinkled glitter, and hung!
I purchased the glitter (Creatology in Gold) from Michael’s for $2.50 and already had the cardstock and glue on hand.
I still have a ton of glitter left over…just think of the possibilites!
Do you decorate for Valentine’s day?
Or kinda cheat like me?
