Kitchen Pendant LOVE!

One day I would love to buy and remodel an old home top to bottom.
Designing for my clients is fun, but there really is nothing as exciting as designing for myself.
If I was to renovate a home right now, you can guarantee my home would have some killer pendants. I currently have a thing for brass, unique shapes, and lighting that makes a statement.

This last month I have been working on several e-designs in need of some pretty lighting.
I have come across some drool worthy inspiration.

I think the right lighting can really make a space.

I tend to lean towards unique and bold lighting selections.
Although many of these are quite expensive, I can’t help but love them all.

Are you loving all the brass fixtures as much as I am?

A Sale I Can’t Pass Up On!

There are a lot of great sales to be had this weekend. It was so hard to choose which sales to share, but I have quickly fallen in love with all the new pieces from Pier 1.
For the next 5 days Pier 1 is offering 20% off or free shipping on all order for $75.00.

They have some really stunning pieces right now, I can’t wait to go check them all out in person.
A few of my favorites…

Colette Sofa: on sale for $720.00

Tufted Ottoman: on sale for $200.00

Navy Trellis Wing Chair: on sale for $360.00

Big Style Little Price

Urban Outfitters is a great place to find accessories. The prices are reasonable and the products are packed full of style. Apparently I have a thing for gold & blue because my entire Urban Outfitters wish list consists of such a color scheme.

Finding a good throw blanket is hard. This Circular Dye Throw Blanket would sure add a pop of pattern to a living room.

Oh how I love the Hexagon Side Table. Gold, elegant, and perfectly pretty.
This playful Flourish Tile Pillow is graphic, colorful, and just plain fun.
This Ikat Dot Pillow looks way more expensive than it is. Plus its simple pattern would nicely pair with so many other fabrics.
You really can’t go wrong with the Stella Floor Lamp. It would work in almost any space.
Although this Modern Chair does not receive the best reviews for durability (apparently the legs buckle when heavy people sit) I would love to see it used in a children’s space. The shape and color is just so perfect.
A big impact for a small dollar amount makes me one happy girl.

Design My Entire Room Craigslist Style

Do you shop on Craigslist?
I have a straight-up addiction to that site, pretty sure an intervention is necessary.
Not only do I shop my local Craigslist, but I love to browse a variety of cities regardless of their proximity to me. Strange right? I just can’t help  myself.
The idea of creating an entire room strictly from classifieds sounds completely exciting to me. So, today I am starting with Salt Lake City Utah!
All the items below were found this week on SLC classifieds, all local, and of course no shipping necessary.
I just love how each piece has interesting lines, and there is a mixture of new, old, used, vintage, and modern.
The sectional is originally from West Elm. It has been used for less than a year looks to be in great shape. They are asking $1,500.00. You can find the ad here.
This persian rug is 9’x5′ and only $125.00. I love the colors and patterns.
These mid-century modern chairs are $100.00 each. Love the gray color and wood legs.
These white lacquer and stainless end tables are $169.00 and brand new. Pretty sure the seller is a store of some sorts, but I love the modern lines mixed with the Persian rug.
This antique coffee table is a little spendy at $450.00, but I just love the wood inlays.
Lastly these blue lamps are originally from Land of Nod. They are asking $120.00 for the pair. I love the blue!
You can get the entire look for $2,700.00 which isn’t the thriftiest of designs, but you are definitely getting higher quality (and avoiding shipping costs) when shopping second hand.
So what do you think?
Would you be willing to shop an entire room on Craigslist?
