Thrifty Tuesday: A Statement Rug

I reference Urban Outfitters regularly for decor.
I like their style and prices and spec them often in designs.
I like to use their rugs when designing nurseries. Their rugs are quite thin (not great for high traffic areas) but they come in awesome patterns/colors and the prices are pretty unbeatable.
I currently have my eye on a few of their rugs and I think they could be a great starting point to some darling nurseries.
I really really love this Chevron Flip rug. I can already picture this rug with white and gold accents. Wouldn’t gold polka dot crib sheets be so cute paired with this rug?
You can never go wrong with this navy rug. I adore the pattern. It could be paired with pinks, greens, yellows…the possibilities are endless.

Hello yellow rug! How can you not be happy in a space with this beauty?!

I am smitten with this geometric rug. A clean lined modern nursery is calling its name.

All of these rugs retail for around $89.00 for a 5’x7′.
When I re-design the kids shared room after the move, I am pretty sure one of these rugs will find its way into the space!

Chartreuse & a Winner!

I can’t get chartreuse out of my head!
A small dose of this color can really add a little excitiment to any space.
It’s bold, playful, and looks great with my favorite color navy!

This week really got away on me.
The weather has been beautiful and we have spent any extra moment playing outside. It has been perfect!
If you haven’t seen Christine Dovey’s work than you must head on over and check it out.
She is one of my design idols.
Her styling ability is insane and I just love how light yet dramatic her spaces are.

Thrifty Tuesday: Affordable Spring Finds

This week spring is in the air! Yesterday the sun was shining, my doors were open, and the urge to freshen things up was strong!

I love to brighten my home up for the spring/summer months but of course my budget is small.

Poufs & pillows are always a great way to add a little life to a space without breaking the bank.
I have a few affordable ideas for you today!
First up, have you seen these new poufs at Target?
Only $89.00 and I just adore the prints.
I love this yellow chevron pouf. The large chevron print is killer.
It also comes in navy!
The trellis turquoise pouf is so good too!

Oh and you need to check out this navy diamond pattern as well. I am in love.
Sometimes a girl just needs some new pillows, am I right?
Etsy is always my go-to for pillows.
Have you ever visited the Etsy shop The Lacey Placey?
The prices are unreal (like $18.00 a pillow cover) and they carry some really fun patterns and colors for spring.
I put together a few fun pillow combos that are oh-so affordable!
Pink stripe (20″ x 20″) : $19.00
Blue & White Modern Weave: (20″ x 20″) $18.00
Floral Love Pillow: (20″ x 20″) $27.50
Coral Modern Weave: (20″ x 20″) $19.50
Blue Chevron: (20″ x 20″)  $18.00
Spring Floral: (20″ x 20″) $21.50
With prices like these, you can pretty much transform your sofa of bed for under $100.00!
Yes please.
Anyone else SO ready to bring a little spring inside?
