The Never Ending January

I don’t know if anyone else feels it, but I swear January never ever ends.
I know it’s a little premature, but I am already looking forward to spring.
I adore Bear Hill Interiors. Their designs are light, splattered with color, and bring a little cheer to the these cold winter days.

Stunning right?
I just love how perfectly small doses of color and pattern are infused into these spaces.
Very inspiring I must say.

Complete Family Room Design for $1600.00!

I get a real thrill out of creating affordable designs.
Lately I have come across a few great pieces and I couldn’t help but put together an affordable family room design.
Most people have at least one room in their home that gets ignored design wise. You know, the basement, bonus room, or maybe even the kids hangout area.
I created this entire design for just over $1600.00. Although the items specified may not be of the highest quality, they would work perfectly in those ignored spaces.
Sofa$499.00
Rug 8’x10′: (currently on backorder) $217.00
Mirror$35.00
Chair$252.00
Pouf$199.00
Side Table: $69.00
Lamp Base$65.00
Lamp Shade: $25.00
Blue Pillow: $65.00
Coral Pillow: $60.00
Frame: $10.00
Total: $1603.00
I love the idea of not breaking the bank but still achieving a stylish and functional space.
Do you have a room that could use some thrifty love?

A Bold Entry Table

When we move to California we will be renting an apartment.
Since we will be there for 3+ years, I really want to make it feel less like an apartment and more like a home.
Although we haven’t decided on the exact place we will be renting, we know it will be small.
I’m hoping for a small entry, a place to welcome guests and drop our keys.

I find myself attracted to entry’s that make a statement, specifically with a little pattern and color.

I am pretty sold on the idea of adding a bold removable wallpaper.
It just adds so much personality and helps define the space.
I am also obsessed with the thought of adding an unexpected pop of color in the console table/entry cabinet.
Being welcomed everyday by a cheery piece of furniture sounds good to me.

It can be hard to find affordable, unique, and colorful pieces.
I gathered a few of my favorites.

I can’t decide on a favorite. I just love all the unique colors, shapes, and lines.
Would you go bold in your entry?

Best Neutral Affordable Rugs!

I can not even begin to explain how much time I spend searching for affordable rugs.
The right rug can make a big statement and is well worth the investment, but why not get a great rug and save money too.
1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9
I tend to use these rugs over and over in designs.
They work well with almost every color scheme, add a little pattern and interest, and are affordable too.
