Wall Decal Giveaway!

Today I am excited to introduce my newest sponsor, The Lovely Wall.
When I came across this Etsy shop earlier this month, I fell in love.
I am a huge fan of their product (see my honeybee wall decals here) and I am thrilled to have them as a sponsor! Their designs and prices are awesome.
Wall decals have been making a big comeback lately.
They are practically a renters dream, are inexpensive, and super easy to install. What more could you ask for?

The Lovely Wall has an awesome assortment of decorative wall decals.
I am thinking of using the arrows in Theo’s nursery!
They also sell adorable chalkboard decals.
How cute are these?

These quotes and sayings decals would be great in a playroom.
I also love their wall scape decals,

as well as their removable wallpaper!

Emory’s Room Reveal!

I have spent the last few weeks working on making over Emory’s room.
Since we are only living in this rental home for the next 9 months, I kept my budget really small. We are also planning on selling all of our furniture before the big move to California, so I didn’t want to put much money or time into something that I just have to turn around and sell.
I converted Emory’s loft bed to an upholstered twin bed, sewed the drapery, added the wall decals, and used accessories that I had around the house.
The total room makeover cost is $150.00.
I am absolutely in love with the honeybee wall decals
I purchased them from The Lovely Wall. They are $15.00 a set and I needed 2 sets for her wall.
I purchased them in gold metallic and they have the prettiest shimmer.
I hung a couple gold mirrors I had laying around on the wall.
I purchased the purple linen bed fabric from Home Fabrics (a discount fabric store) for $5.00/yard. I am pretty sure it is actually Serena & Lily fabric, so I am pretty happy about getting such a great deal! I also scored the white drapery fabric for $5.00/yard and purchased the black pom pom trim from JoAnn Fabrics (and used my 40% off coupon).

I purchased the floral pillow from an Etsy Shop called Aurelia. It was a splurge, but I LOVE the Manuel Canvas Misia Fabric.

I also hung one of my favorite white mirrors above the cabinet that holds all her toys.
Considering my tight timeline and budget, I am pretty happy with the results!
I think it feels a little more homey and settled, which I think is important even if we are only living here for a short time.
Also, make sure you check back tomorrow, I have a great giveaway! Just a hint, you could score yourself some adorable wall decals!

Thrifty Tuesday: J.Crew Cuts Look-a-likes

Like I have mentioned before, I love to buy Emory clothes.
Unfortunately my eyes are always bigger than my budget, so I have to get creative.
I pretty much adore all of J.Crew Cuts clothing.
In my opinion, their clothing is the perfect mix of playfulness, style, and sophistication.
I usually spend a few minutes drooling over the clothing at J.Crew Cuts, and then I get busy finding the perfect look -a-likes.
Today I thought it would be fun to share with you a few of my recent finds…
J.Crew Cuts Jacket: $138.00 vs. Gap Jacket: $60.00
J.Crew Cuts Shoes: $58.00 vs. Target Shoes: $18.00
I would say saving $220.00 is a pretty good deal!
My favorite deal has to be this jacket!
The J.Crew Cuts jacket is $138.00 and the Gap jacket is originally $88.00 but is on sale for $60.00.
I loooove it!
I must admit, I sure do love to shop for look-a-likes!
Anyone else do the same thing?

DIY Black Chalkboard Wall!

Last week my sister sent me a picture of her back entry hall.
She was ready to add a little life to the boring grey walls but didn’t want to spend much money.
She had the idea to paint a small section in black chalkboard paint, but we decided it would look best to paint the entire wall. She used Rust-oleums black chalkboard paint.
I wish we had a before picture, but here is the wall once it was painted black.
She then hung several unused gold frames and mirrors that she had collected over the years.
A little chalk doodling and her back entrance was transformed!
I think she did such a fantastic job and I love how much drama it adds to her space.

So, what do you think?
Would you be brave enough to paint an entire wall black?
