Free Mini Christmas Banner Printables!

November was an unlucky month.
3 kidney stones, 1 ER visit, 2 surgeries to remove the stones, and lots of medical bills.
Every year I get the itch to buy new Christmas decor. Since I wanted to keep things thrifty this year, I made a few decorations from items I had around the house.
Today I wanted to share with you my mini Christmas banner printables!
So far I have hung 2 on my tree (and I plan to add a couple more) but I can think of a million places I want to put them.
You could hang them on a mantle, between deer antlers, on a decorative mirror, or even on a wreath!

I simply printed them on cardstock, poked small holes in each letter, used thread to string them together, and placed a small piece of tape on the back of each letter to hold its position.

The total cost was free, and I kinda love them!
Just incase you want your own mini Christmas banners, I have created a couple free printables.
You can find my Holly and Jolly mini banner here and my Merry Christmas mini banner here.

Thrifty Tuesday: Affordable Gift Guide for Her!

As I am sure you could guess, my Christmas wish list is always filled with home decor items.
Although a new sofa or rug is always at the top of my list, it just isn’t realistic.
After buying gifts for the kids, family, and traveling expenses, there isn’t always a ton of the budget left for me and the hubs. I am sure many of you can relate!

Luckily there are SO many affordable items that I have my eye on right now.
These items would not only make great gifts for myself, but I am sure many of my friends and family would love them too!

Chalkboard Cake Pedestal: $35.00
Faceted Glass Vase: $29.00
White Bowl: $11.98
Table Top Stagg Head: $24.99
Cast Metal Jewelry Tray: $29.00
Textured Dip Bowls: $3.00
Decoupage Trays: $2.99
Chalkboard Nested Ramekins: $39.00
Large Tray: $9.99
Antler Candle Holder: $19.99
Moderinst Bowl: $6.00

With adorable bowls priced at $3.00 a pop, a set of 4 would only set you back $12.00 and make such a great gift!

All of these items are also the perfect pieces to help style your home. I know styling can be one of the trickiest parts of design…and no one likes to spend that extra money on those items (hence why we are all missing that final layer, right?).

Do you have home decor on your Christmas list too?

Another DIY Deer Head?

A few days ago I was browsing the aisles of JoAnn Fabrics and I stumbled across this cardboard deer head. It was $14.99 but on sale for 40% off…I just couldn’t pass up a $9.00 deer head!
I must admit, I am super exited about it.
I plan on painting it (most likely white) and adding a little Christmas cheer for the holidays.
Apparently I am drawn to cardboard deer heads.
You may remember by $9.00 DIY deer heads from 3 years ago!
Incase you haven’t been reading my blog for 3 years (high-five if you have!) I turned this cute cardboard deer…
Into this!
You can read the tutorial and my chop-the-head-off-the-deer Home Depot experience here.
Unfortunately the deer heads did not survive the move so it’s time for a replacement.
I think this guy will do the trick.
I’m thinking he may need some gold tips on his antler too!
