ork posters

while browsing through a magazine on the plane today i came across ork posters.
i find their graphic prints of metropolitan cities so eye catching.

i think they work in all rooms in the house.

i would like to see a collection of them in a childrens room.
seems like an aesthetically pleasing teaching tool to me.

thrifting

even though this week has been spent lounging by the pool with my family, i
somehow managed to fit in some thrifting.
who would of thought i would find such gorgeous treasures in the small town of eureka montana?
all these finds will eventually make their way into emory’s bedroom.
this lamp and wall hanging are perfect.
i am always looking for things to hang on the wall that are not pictures or mirrors.
lamp: $10.00
wall hanging: $3.00

i adore the intricate detail and pastel colors of this lamp.

i also scored this vintage chenille bedspread.

bedspread $8.50

find of the day, wallpaper!
i found 2 rolls of stunning wallpaper.
i can’t wait to create unique art pieces.
wallpaper: $1.00/roll

i would call today a success!

chocolate velvet tufted headboard

typically i promote diy projects but when you find a great deal buying new is the way to go.
this week i found a GREAT deal at costco.

i came across this queen velvet tufted headboard for $119.00!
$119.00 is a steal.
last year i made my own headboard for $62.00.
but if you want a deep tufted headboard i recommend buying it.
it is really difficult to create the deep tufted look on your own.

here is the exact headboard online for $288.00.
i e-mailed the company regarding the price difference, maybe they will match the price?

this headboard is almost identical to the one at costco.
they want $448.00!

i couldn’t find the headboard on cotsco.com but i recommend calling your local costco to find out if they carry this item.
it’s just too good to pass up.
also, i picked one up for my mom, can’t wait to see how it looks in her guest bedroom!

shoe chaos

i am spending this week just south of the canadian border, montana.
i am staying in my parent’s cabin with my 2 sisters, niece, nephew, and mom.
although we are having a blast, we are also having shoe chaos.
shoes seem to be everywhere, but ironically when you need a pair they are no where to be found.
imagine if we had an armoire like this…
{house and home}

a place for everything.
sounds heavenly, but i think front closets only stay that organized in the magazines!
i love this diy shoe rack.

{domino}

a bookshelf with homemade roman shades, perfect.
