Ma Ma Ma Maxi!

It is starting to get hot here in Utah!
I purchased this maxi skirt (in purple) from J. Crew a couple weeks ago and I find myself wanting to wear it everday.
It is surprisingly light and airy, extremely comfortable, and I feel awesome in it all day long.
Pretty sure I need one for everyday of the week.
Here are a few of my favorite maxi skirts!

Have you jumped on the maxi skirt bandwagon yet?
If so, please share your favorite skirt, I would love to know!

I love Betsy…

Betsy Burnham is definitely one of my design idols.
Her work makes my jaw drop.
Her incredible attention to details, use of pattern and color, bold fabric selection, and flawless mixture of styles, proves her insane talent.

What I would give to be her intern for a week.
For now, I will just drool over her work in hopes that a little of her talent will seep through my computer screen.
I just love Betsy, don’t you?!

Online Room Reveal!

Today I have a fun reveal for you!
I absolutely love seeing after pictures from online design projects, it sure makes my job with it!
My client’s little boys bedroom had great bones, it just needed a little help with the finishing touches.
She had purchased all the furniture and bedding, but the room was still lacking personality.
I added texture to the space by using wicker baskets, walnut picture frames, a sheepskin hide, and wool zig zag rug.
I absolutely love the sheepskin hide, it adds such a cozy feel.
I had my client DIY the silhouette above the bed.
Such an inexpensive way to add a personal touch to the room.
I love adding whimsical touches to children’s spaces, isn’t this owl lamp perfect?
I also added a rhino head to the gallery wall.
I adore him.
I kept the gallery wall simple but filled with meaningful prints.

I just love how everything came together!
It is really amazing how the details always make a big differnce!

Blog Lovin Posts!

I love to read blogs.
In fact, I try and read as many as I can everyday.
I also love it when bloggers post projects or pictures from their own homes.
Here are a few of my favorite posts from this week…
I am absolutely obsessed with Seventh House on the Left’s kitchen.
Their DIY eat sign is perfect.
And don’t even get me started on that subway tile wall with grey grout, my knees are weak.
I also adore their new wall art.

Did you see Kirsten’s, from 6th Street Design School, DIY cloud art?
Since her husband is a pilot, he took the pictures himself.
Love that!

Oh, and I can’t possibly leave out Sarah’s, from Flourish Design + Style, home tour on Life Couture.

I know I have seen it before, but it never gets old.
So clean, crisp, and perfect.
I hope you have a great weekend!
I’ll see you Monday with a fun before and after online design!
