this morning we spent sometime at calico corners.

there is nothing better than being surrounded by beautiful fabrics.

we picked up a couple yards of fabric to make throw pillows for my mom’s living room.

her living room is painted with restoration hardware’s silver sage, ebony stained plank wood floors, a white linen sofa, and chocolate brown tufted slipper chairs.

i think the light blue peacock fabric paired with the geometric grey and blue linen are perfectly complimented by the graphic yellow cotton fabric.

i can’t wait to see the end result!

whenever my mom comes to visit we always manage to complete a couple diy projects.

i am hoping to change my living room drapery in the near future and will also need new throw pillows.

i don’t have much time for blogging or diy projects today.

my family is currently enduring the 14 hour drive from the great white north to visit me.

that means i have exactly 8 hours to get my house sparkling.

whenever i have a big job to complete i always make a check list.

if only i had these styling sticky notes, i’ll take the green and white chevron please.

my head hurts just thinking of all the cleaning i have to do.

let the fun begin 🙂

after 2 hours of sewing, ironing, starching, and cutting, my curtains are complete.

i think they are perfect for my master bedroom
