my fireplace is empty, it is waiting for the perfect accessory.
this deer head from z gallerie is on my christmas list.
the small one is $49.95 and the large on is $199.95
i think it would be perfect.

just in case it doesn’t arrive on christmas morning, i have been planning a diy project.
i found these deer antlers on ksl for $10.00.


i could easily mount these antlers on a piece of plywood and create a look like this.



or maybe even add a paper mache head.

thanksgiving is quickly approaching.
if you haven’t made your place cards yet, you still have time.

i love the idea of using natural materials to make place cards.
grab some spurs from your yard, a piece of ribbon, a hand printed tag, and you’re done.

it is simple yet festive.

my favorite, use pears, apples, or even small pumpkins.
