The Loft Bed is White!

I finally tackled painting Emory’s loft bed.
It took me about 3 hours and was NO fun!
It’s kinda hard to see the difference between the blonde wood and the white,
but in person it looks great.
Also, do you spy another addition to her room?
The white table and chairs are from Ikea.
Exactly what she needed to complete her little “play house”.
I am so happy with how it turned out.
The next thing on my to-do list is change out her fan!
It’s hard to tell, but the fan blades are almost overtop of her bed…which is no good!
Unless I want her to take a a ride on them, I need to switch out the fan for a pretty little light.
I have a couple of ideas, but I am not sold on anything yet.
I can’t believe how much her room has changed already.
There is still lots to do in her new room, but I think it is slowly coming together.
Baby steps right?
Head on over here to see how the loft bed was converted from a bunk bed.

Peacock Mirror at Z Gallerie!

One of my all time favorite mirrors is the peacock mirror.

It is such stunning piece, one I would love to own.

Unfortunately they are not cheap.

Pier 1 used to sell an affordable version but not anymore.
You can pick one up at Restoration Hardware for $1000.00
Or Wisteria for $2400.00, yikes!
But, now you can snag yourself a similar one for $299.00 at Z Gallerie!
Woot, woot!
I can’t wait to get to the store and check it out.
I must save my pennies for this one.
I love it.

The Spring Cleaning Bug

I’ve got the serious spring cleaning bug.
All I can think about is de-junking, de-cluttering, and re-organizing.
I recently shared Danielle’s master bedroom from Breakfast at Toasts, but I can’t get the rest of her home out of my head.
It is perfectly simple, crisp, and clean.

Doesn’t this home tour give you the spring cleaning bug?
It also gets me so excited to paint Emory’s new loft bed.
Happy Monday!

Mirror Sale!

Today Horchow is offering 30% off all of their mirrors.
I absolutely LOVE most of the mirrors they carry, but they typically come with a hefty price tag.
With the 30% off, it makes some of their mirrors a little more affordable.
Plus, I am a believer in investing in “showcase” pieces.
Here are a few of my favorites:
I also just used the Porterdale Mirror in a clients home.
It is even more beautiful in person. I can’t wait to show you.
Would you ever splurge on a mirror?
