Affordable Jonathan Adler Furniture?

To say I am excited about JCPenney’s new home line, Happy Chic by Jonathan Adler, is an understatement!
Jonathan Adler designs at a more affordable price?!
Um, it’s like a little piece of heaven really.
This line is packed full of colorful, modern, and well designed pieces.
I can’t wait to use a few of them in my designs.
A few of the highlights for me:
The beds…love the shape and color options.
And the price isn’t to bad either.
$1650.00 for a fully upholstered bed works for me.
Although, I think I am most excited for the accessories.
Jonathan Adler has always been so talented at designing a beautiful vase.
Oh, and his pillows are pretty fabulous too.
So what do you think?
Are you as excited as I am?

Look For Less: Tufted Loveseat!

I have always been a fan of using bench style loveseats as dining room chairs.
It serves the same purpose as banquet, but is oozing with style.

Plus, I love the idea that it is not permanent and can easily be changed out.

Yesterday while I was browsing the isles of TJ Maxx (during our first showing of our condo…yay!), I came across this amazing tufted loveseat. Believe it or not, it was only $299.00!
I would love to see this little lady in a dining room.
And because I am obsessed with googling everything, I went on a mission to find out how much it sells for online.
Home Furniture Showroom is selling it for $684.00!
I knew $299.00 was a great deal.
Also, I am pretty sure multiple TJ Maxx locations are carrying this loveseat.
So…would someone go buy one please so I can live vicariously through you?!

Time to Sell…

With the end of medical school quickly approaching (someone pinch me!), we will soon be heading to Boise Idaho to start residency.
This move is very bitter sweet for me. Although I am excited to be finished with medical school, I am so sad to be leaving my friends, clients, and especially my condo.
Over the past 4 years we have spent endless hours renovating and updated our condo. New flooring, paint, lighting, hardware, and appliances. It looks nothing like it did when we first bought it.
As corny as it sounds, I love this little condo!
Since it is time to move on, we have decided to sell.
You can go here to see the listing!

Selecting Drapery Made Easy!

Drapery can be challenging to select. Pattern or no pattern? Large or small print? Geometric or floral?
Since it is such a hard decision, most people select them last.
When designing a room, I always start with the largest statement pieces, the drapery or the rug.
Drapery can be a great starting point for a room, it sets the tone and decides the direction for the rest of the space.
Tonic Living is one of my favorite places to shop for fabric. Their fabrics are affordable and on trend.
I also love how they share pictures of their fabrics used in clients homes. Let’s be honest, the small thumbnail pictures of fabric can be deceiving. Being the visual person that I am, it is always helpful to see the fabric in action.
Here are a few of my favorites…
I love this bright geometric print, Groovy Grille Confetti.
I think it looks amazing as drapery and is only $18.95/yard!
Top: Groovy Grille Confetti, Middle left: Outdoor Sisila Poolside, Middle right: Bethe Leaf, Bottom left: Cross Section Honeydew, Bottom right: Graphic Fret Greystone
Once the drapery is selected, it is much easier to put together coordinating fabrics for pillows. I think any of the fabrics on the right would work great!
Jennifer from Rambling Renovators used this adorable floral, Sweet William Teal, in her bedroom.
Since the floral pattern is small, it works well as drapery without being to overbearing.

Using floral drapery can make selecting pillows more difficult, graphic and organic prints work great though!
I am kinda obsessed with this grey and white geometric print, Courtyard Oyster, as drapery.
It looks so high-end but it is only $29.95/yard!
Top: Courtyard Oyster, Middle Left: Modern Meadow Poppy, Middle Right: Geo Maze Coral, Bottom: Cameron Storm
You can keep the color scheme neutral like the picture, or pair it with something a little more playful like the coral fabrics I selected.
A big thumbs-up to Tonic Living, they are killing it lately!
Anyone else loving their fabrics as much as I am?
