With the end of medical school quickly approaching (someone pinch me!), we will soon be heading to Boise Idaho to start residency.
This move is very bitter sweet for me. Although I am excited to be finished with medical school, I am so sad to be leaving my friends, clients, and especially my condo.
Over the past 4 years we have spent endless hours renovating and updated our condo. New flooring, paint, lighting, hardware, and appliances. It looks nothing like it did when we first bought it.
As corny as it sounds, I love this little condo!
Since it is time to move on, we have decided to sell.

I can’t wait to get some real pictures taken of this place, mine just don’t do it justice!
Anyone else shed tears over selling their first home?
I am going to be a mess!
We just sold our second and it doesn’t get any easier! You pour your heart and soul into the space and it kinda feels like you’re leaving a part of yourself behind. Oh well, on to the next phase of life. Good luck with your sell!
This condo will have no problem selling, you have decorated it so beautifully. Yes, it is hard to let go, but you’ll LOVE your new place and have the same attachment to it in a few years. Your future sounds so exciting. Congratulations on all your accomplishments and best of luck with the next phase!

Wish I lived in Utah right now.. that condo would cost close to $500k where I live, and I’m not even in NYC! So jealosu since I am sick of renting!
I know, Utah is so affordable! We will soon be heading to California and will never see a mortgage/rent payment so low! Boo!
We’ve bought and sold 7 homes so I know how bittersweet it is. Your condo looks great – you’ll have no problem selling! 🙂
7, that is awesome! I have a feeling we will buying/selling lots too! Growing up I lived in 10 different houses, I think it is in my blood! 🙂
You’re condo is gorgeous, you’ll have no problem selling! I’ve never owned, but get a little sad just leaving an apartment, so I imagine selling would be 10x worse!
Oh my! Are you really. We live in Boise Id. Moved here from Texas!!! So, this means you could come do some projects for me!!! Congratulations and best of luck with the sale!!
Perfect! And maybe we can be friends too? Haha, I know no-one there!
good luck with the sale, your home looks amazing! and yes, there are tears when levaing your first home… All the best!
It’s going to sell fast! And I have moved several times – wherever you family is together is home.

So true! I am excited for a blank slate, my mind is spinning already!
So bitter sweet. So much love in your home. By the way, I thought those photos were professional!! Seriously.
HA, you are too nice. I struggle behind the camera, I need to take another class!
Wow — I thought those photos were the pro ones!!?? You have turned that in to the cheeriest, loviest home! Totally bittersweet. I still love our first home. And crazy, I didn’t realize you were moving before going to Cali…yay for us, more DOI makeovers!
Yes, 1 year in Boise and then 3 in Cali! So much moving…and not so excited about renting again! Although I am excited to DIY up my next place, it’s addictive isn’t it?
I think your place is gorgeous…love what you did with it! I’m sure it’ll sell fast because it looks like it’s professionally staged.
And I think your pictures are perfect just the way they are.
Thanks Ameena, that is so sweet of you!
Your place looks fabulous I am sure you will have no problem selling it. Congrats on the new and exciting time in your life. Boise is great, you will have a great time there! Best of luck!!
I can totally relate. I bawled like a baby at the sale of our first {and second} home. Good luck!
Congrats on such great residency news! Won’t it be nice to have this stage of our lives in the history books?!
Funny, I just barely blogged about our 1st home transformation and getting it ready to sell. (You’ll recognize some of your amazing design tips in the photos!) We put it on the market and it sold in 8 days – we just signed the papers last night. I know I should be deliriously happy things happened so fast but all I can think about is how sad it will be to leave this place. Your place, I’m sure, will go so quick! Good luck keeping the littles busy during showings! Hopefully it won’t take but a few and you can start planning your new space.
Oh, and I am loving the renters series you’re doing… Gives me hope that maybe renting will be okay after all… Maybe.
I have a ton of family in Holladay and I live in Boise. Pretty sure we should be friends 🙂 Happy selling to you!!
I live in Boise – do you need any info? My husband works in Radiology at St. Lukes! It is a nice family oriented city.
