DIY Napkin Pillow Tutorial!

It is no secret that I like to make pillows out of napkins, table cloths, curtains, etc!
When I was visiting my sister in Canada last month, we whipped out a few napkin pillows and today I am sharing a quick tutorial!

I used these napkins from World Market. Love the color and fabric. Since a set of 6 is $9.99, you can make a pillow case with these napkins for just $5.00!
I am no good with zippers, so this tutorial is for a flap-back pillow case.

Super super simple. If you can sew a straight line, you can do this!
They turned out pretty great too.
It’s hard to complain about a $5.00 pillow right? (oh and ignore the random threads, a true sign of a freshly sewn pillow!)

I am also eyeing a few napkins right now. The are practically begging to me made into pillows.

DIY Oversized Photography Art!

I have been wanting an oversized photograph for my living room for a while now.
I would love to get my hands on a piece by Gray Malin but it just isn’t in the budget.
Luckily I own a starter SLR camera and decided to give it a shot (no pun intended!).
I headed down to Laguna Beach and pretended I knew what I was doing.
With a little editing (thanks iPhoto) I managed to get a few frame worthy shots.
If I can do this, anyone can!
I printed it at Art.com when they were having a 50% off sale a few weeks back.
Their sales happen often, so just keep checking back and you are bound to get a deal.
I knew I wanted to use this Ikea Frame, you just can’t beat the price for such a large size! ($24.99)
I also wanted the photograph to be as large as possible so removing the mat was a must.
I selected the 30″ x 40″ printing size (originally $45.99) and trimmed a few inches off the edges to fit the Ribba frame.
The large printed photograph cost $23.00 and the white frame $25.00, making the total only $48.00!

I am really happy with how it turned out.

What do you think?
Would you willing to give this a try?
xo,

My New Target Side Table!

I have already shared my love for Target’s Gold & White Collection.
Before I left for my trip to Canada my gold accent table arrived.

I really liked it in the store, but boy I feel in love once I got it home.
Not only does it add the perfect touch of gold, it is also SO SO SO kid friendly.

It is practically a gold metal drum and my kids LOVE it.
A kid friendly table that I like too…talk about a win win.

It is currently on sale for only $48.00!
Such a great price for an awesome piece.

My Heart.

Has it really been 10 days since I posted last? Oh my.
I have sure been missing this little blog of mine.
Last week my sweet Grandpa passed away at the young age of 92. I was able to fly back to Canada to attend the funeral and celebrate his life. He was such an amazing man.
Yesterday, I received the photos from my kids photoshoot with Breanne Larson Photography.
I am in love.
Breanne captured my kids personalities perfectly, and frankly, I have no clue how she managed to get so many cute shots. Theo does not stop moving. I also managed to jump in a few shots too, and I will cherish these forever!

If you are located in Orange County California, I highly recommend using Breanne Larson Photography! She is currently running a fall special, $250.00 for a full session (20-25 images) or $150.00 for a mini session (10-12 images). Limited spots available.
Such a great price!
You can contact Breanne here and follow her on Instagram here!

What do you think, so cute or what?
