chippendale chair

i found this antique chippendale chair on ksl and could not resist.
it is in perfect condition.

i am going to replace the upholstry fabric but i can’t decide if i want to paint it.
what do u think?

did i mention it is a mini?
just the right size for my 2 year old.

i think she likes it.

paper butterfly

catherine swan is the mind behind paper butterfly.
these beautiful pieces of art are simply perfect for my daughter’s room.

i would love to own an original, but selling for $1000.00 keeps it out of reach.
while reading the year of story i came across a diy art project similar to the stunning paper butterfly. check it out here.

this diy project requires the martha stewart butterfly punch, some interesting paper or magazine pages, foam dots, and a frame of choice.

i can’t wait to add this piece to my daughter’s room!

wall art

my weekly good will visit was a success.
i purchased 6 frames for $13.00.

i knew they would be perfect in my hallway.

i liked this frame but was not in love with the picture.
luckily i had some leftover fabric from my pelmet box makeover.

a couple staples in the back and the picture was transformed.

doesn’t it bring some life to my hallway?

not to shabby for $13.00.

the large picture was also purchased at a second-hand store for $5.00
i love good second-hand days!
