$3.25 diy dessert tray

one of my favorite parts of the holidays is the sweets.
caramels, homemade chocolates, ribbon candy, and cookies.
i started making this dessert tray last year but never finished it.
i don’t know why, it was super easy!
i purchased the plates and cups from my local thrift store, total cost: $3.25

you only need a couple plates, mugs, and some super glue.

this project takes 4 steps and 5 minutes.

1. glue mug on large plate 2. glue medium plate on mug 3. glue mug on medium plate 4. glue small plate on mug
wasn’t that easy?
since i don’t have any candy made yet, it works great as a centerpiece decorated with left over christmas ornaments.

also, my friend kristin from this & that creative
made a similar dessert tray, check it out here.
it’s a great knock-off of a $158.00 anthropologie dessert tower.

EDIT

EDIT is a showroom in australia.
sharyn storrier lyneham, former editor for vogue, is the creative mind behind this showroom.
these textiles are jaw dropping.
i would love to own one of those pillows!

the bold use of pattern and color sure make each piece a statement.

this chair would be perfect in a study.
it adds the right amount of personality to a space.

these drapery are incredible.

i must admit, my favorite piece is the bumble bee chair.
i have a thing for black and white stripes.

this chair is beautiful.

this black and white striped fabric from ikea would be perfect for creating this look.

if only i could fit another chair in my house.
i seem to have a chair obsession!
does anyone else have this problem?

retreat

i know the holiday season is just beginning, but i already feel like i need a vacation.
