Salt Lake City Parade of Homes

Last night I spent 5 hours touring the Salt Lake City parade of homes.
We only got through about half of them, so hopefully I can catch a few more on Saturday morning.
This home stood out to me,  it was light, airy, and beautiful.
I love the neutral color scheme with pops of color.

The gray cabinets and white Caesar Stone countertops are so pretty!

And those lights are delicious!

I love the open floor plan, so great for entertaining.
I think I could move right in, couldn’t you?

Kids Sharing Bedrooms

Because we live in a 2 bedroom condo and our second child is on the way, sharing a bedroom is in our near future.
I get stunned looks when I tell people that my new-born baby and my 4 year old will be sharing a room.
Maybe I am naive, but I don’t understand what the big deal is. Obviously it is ideal for each child to have their own room, but I kinda think that is boring too.
Even though I had my own room growing up, my sister and I always slept in the same bed. We probably should have just shared a room.
I just saw this bedroom featured on Stephmodo and I couldn’t help but smile.
Not only is it designed so well, it is a bedroom for 3 kids!
Perfectly unisex and pretty.

From my experience, kids easily adjust to their environments. I’m sure there will be a few rough weeks, but in the end they will get used to it, right?
I need so advice from you more experienced moms!
What do you think, yes or no to sharing bedrooms?
Is it going to be no big deal, or should I just start crying now?

Slow and Steady…

Design projects around my home have definitely been put on the back burner.
I received a few of Sarah’s Gallery Wall pieces a few months back and I am finally getting them hung in Emory’s room.
I spray painted her black ikea frames gold (several months ago) and I love how they turned out!
I actually still need to add the rest of the frames, but at least it’s a start, right?
This guy is still waiting to be hung…
I am working on getting it finished. Hopefully soon!
Ok, who am I kidding, everything takes me forever these days. Ugh.
