Pregnancy Update: A Heavy Mind

I can’t believe it, I am 22 weeks!
Although I want time to pass quickly, I am absolutely terrified for what the next two weeks may bring.
I am trying to focus on the positive and loving every kick and squirm that I feel on a regular basis. It is such an amazing feeling.
I had my 22 week check-up on Tuesday and got some not-so-great news.
My cervix has started to shorten a little, making my doctor a little concerned. As of now it is still long enough to be in the considered in the “safe zone” but it sure has me worried. I now go back weekly to have my cervix checked, if it continues to shorten they will have to stitch it closed, ugh.
We are exactly 2 weeks away from when I went into labour with my daughter Emory. My mind is heavy and I can’t seem to turn it off. It was such a nice treat to have my family here this week and take my mind off of worrying!
Thank you for being so patient with me, I know things have been awfully slow around here. I hope to get back to a daily blogging schedule soon and share some fun projects I have been working on!
Until then, my main goal is to keep this baby in 🙂

Mom’s Best Magazine!

This week I had a chance to browse through Mom’s Best Fall Back To School magazine.
I loved so much of it and I think you will too!
It’s packed full of great articles for all you Mom’s out there!
It also has great recipes, children’s fashion ideas, and tutorials.
I am dying to make this granola recipe, perfect for fall!

And I love these free back to school sticker labels for lunches and notebooks.

I am also excited to print out this free ice cream chore trainer chart.
How cute is that?

Pretty sure Em will love it and you can’t beat free!

I am also so flattered to be included in the issue, sharing some of my favorite fall items!

You should definitely check this issue out.
It is a goodie!

Family Rocks

My family was in town for the weekend.
It was an absolute blast.
I love hanging out with my parents and my 16 year old little sister, there really is nothing better than having family around.
We did lots of shopping, eating, and playing.
We even hit up the Park City slides, roller coaster, and zip lines.
My Mom is still here until Wednesday, so the fun is not completley over yet.
She has already organized Emory’s closets, my pantry, and the bathroom drawers…love her.
Now I just need to convince her to never leave!

Polka Dots In Interiors?

I am pretty obsessed with polka dots in fashion right now.
I am dying to get my hands on some polka dot pants, and any polka dot shirt gets me pretty darn excited!
Although I love them in fashion, I think they have to be used carefully in interiors.
You can’t get classier than Oh Joy’s nursery polka dots…

And I would love to add a few in Emory’s room/the nursery.
A wall decal would probably be too much with the stripes, but I think a lamp could be perfect.

Or how about this pendant light…love.

Have you added any polka dots to your interiors?
Or are you letting that trend stay in fashion?
