Crushing on…

I am loving some of Urban Outfitters newest furniture pieces.
I’ve always had a soft spot for lacquered furniture, and these pieces make me so excited.
I would love to have a few of these sculptured sphered stools in Em’s room.

Their lighting also does not disappoint. I kinda want one of each of these…

Also, I am so excited that Zara Home is now opening a US online store!
Starting tomorrow we can shop their online home store! Yay!
If you are unfamiliar with Zara home, they sell pieces similar to those sold at Anthropologie home, but with less expensive price tags.
Pretty darn happy.
Happy Monday!

DIY Mini Copper Planters by Poppytalk!

On Monday Poppytalk posted a simple tutorial for DIY mini copper planters.
I immediatly fell in love.

With the seasons changing and winter quickly approaching, I like to add additional live plants around the house to add a little greenery.
I think these would look great on a bookshelf, desk, console, or even a kitchen and bathroom counter.

These mini planters will work perfectly in my condo considering my lack of space and are also irresistibly adorable, don’t you think?
I am hoping to make a few of these very soon.

Mid-century Modern Home Tour!

My in-laws recently bought a home built in the 50’s.
It hasn’t been touched since and is packed full of the original lighting, flooring, and appliances…how cool.
They plan on adding some updates to the home, but staying true to it’s mid-century modern style.
I must admit, I am a little jealous.
I just love the clean lines and classic furniture pieces mid-century modern offers.
I thought this home tour on apartment therapy was fun, even if you don’t have a home built in the 50’s, the proper use of furniture and wall color can transform most homes into a sleek mid-century gem.

I’m thinking it would be fun to decorate my next home/apartment in this style.
Would you ever decorate your home with mid-century modern pieces?

DIY $5.00 Large Scale Wall Photo

I love large scale photos, especially of children.
I was very excited when I stumbled across this $5.00 DIY large scale wall photo by Little Inspiration.
She discovered that Office Depot offers 24″x 48″ black and white prints for only $5.00.
Isn’t she so smart?

I haven’t tried it myself yet, but apparently you just have to ask for the Industrial Prints.
You just can’t beat $5.00!
I adore that picture of her daughter above her sofa, it is so sweet.
I’m definitely going to give this one a try!
Thanks Little Inspiration for this great and affordable DIY!
