Beautiful Nursery: Rental Approved!

The past 3 years we have been lucky enough to live in a condo that we own.
It’s been fun to paint, change out flooring, and update it to our liking.
In June we will be moving to start my husbands medical residency, which means we will be joining the rental market yet again.
Although renting can feel limiting in the decor department, I am excited to think outside of the box and create beautiful spaces regardless of my inability to make permanent changes.
This white walled nursery featured on Apartment Therapy has me inspired!
This design could definitely be achieved in a rental and I just love it.

This nursery also excites me because it was designed affordably.
Most of the large items (crib, rug, bookshelf) were purchased from Ikea!

Let the rental designing begin!

Valentines Day Decor!

I’ve never been great at decorating for smaller holidays like Valentines Day.
In hopes of helping Emory adjust to the changes around our house, I’m thinking a couple V-Day decor projects will be the perfect way for us to spend some time together.
I know the internet is packed full of DIY decor ideas, but I am loving these three:
This simple mini heart paper wreath would be easy and so cute hanging in Em’s room.
I think it’s a must!
I would love to have this tissue paper heart hanging on our front door.
Festive but oh-so-elegant.

And these paper LOVE cubes make the most adorable votive candle holders.
Instead of using real candles, I think the battery operated ones would do the trick and I am sure Em would love a few of these glowing in her room.

I’m pretty excited about getting started on these Valentines day crafts this weekend, and I think Em will eat it up.
Hopefully I’ll have some finished projects to share with you on Monday!
Do you decorate for Valentines Day?

Alt = Jealous!

As many of you know, Alt blogging summit started today in Salt Lake City! I could not be more jealous. As much as I wanted to be there to meet all of my blogging friends and learn from so many talented bloggers, I just couldn’t leave my little guy yet (plus the tickets sold out in an hour!!). I also have a little 4 year old that requires lots of extra attention these days, I think she may be experiencing a little jealousy herself.
Any tips on how to deal with the jealous older sibling? I’m all ears.

Look For Less: Moroccan Shag Rug

I know I was just gushing over West Elm’s Souk Rug, but I just can’t help share some of its competitors.
Here are a few of my favorites…
1. West Elm Souk Rug 5×8 : $399.00 (currently 20% off)
4. West Elm Kabash Rug 5×8: $399.00 (currently 20% off)
See, there is something for every budget!
And if you are feeling adventurous, you could even DIY one like Danika did!
She is amazing!
Do any of you own one of these rugs?
I would love to hear your review!
ps: I am back to posting daily Monday through Friday, so i’ll meet you here every morning 🙂
