Thrifty Tuesday: Printed Bowls!

I love using printed bowls to accessorize spaces with.
I think they add the perfect amount of pattern and/or color to a bookshelf, console table, nightstand, or even a desk.

Anthropologie has always had a great selection of printed bowls, but recently West Elm has stepped up their game in this department as well!
Here are a few of my favorite printed bowls…

With a price tag as low as $8.00 each, this is a decorating tool accessible to everyone.
Now if only it wasn’t so hard to pick my favorite one!

Simple Valentines Day Decorating!

With Valentines day right around the corner, I decided that decorating Emory’s room would be the perfect way to show her the little extra love and attention she has been needing.
Last week I selected a couple crafts from Pinterest and decided to give them a whirl.
First, I wanted to decorate her door, and the tissue paper heart wreath was perfect.
It was super simple.
I just purchased a large piece of cardstock and cut out a heart.
I then made mini tissue paper flowers, following this tutorial, and hot-glued them onto the heart.
She absolutely loves it.
I added some glitter sticky hearts to the door as well, she thinks it’s pretty darn special.
We also made a heart wreath for her loft bed play house.
It was another really simple craft project and only took about 10 minutes from start to finish.
I purchased the glitter sticky hearts from Micheals and Emory attached them to a wreath cut from cardstock.
So easy and inexpensive.
She was very excited to attach it to her loft bed play house.
And I think it’s the perfect touch!
Now we just need to decorate some Valentines day sugar cookies and we will be set!
Do you decorate for V-Day? Or just for the kids like me?

Going Tribal!

I love it when fashion trends are also big in home decor.
Tribal prints are doing just that.
Whether it’s a throw pillow, ottoman, leggings, or phone case, I love it!

Now I just need to get some tribal in my life.
What do you think? Do you like this trend?

Coral Pillows!

It’s no secret that coral is popular in interiors.
It seems that people either love it or hate it.
Even if you do love it, I’ve heard many woman complain that their husbands won’t allow it.
Lucky for me, I have a very accommodating husband in that department!
If you do want to add a splash of coral in your home without causing too much controversy, I think throw pillows are the way to go.
I’m kinda obsessed with the coral and gold color scheme going on here…

Just incase you are ready to add coral to your decor, I came up with a pillow round-up to get you started!

You can also find my navy pillow round-up here!
I know we have talked about pink before, but would you be willing
(or should I say allowed?) to add some coral pillows to your decor?
