thrifty tuesdays: cardboard taxidermy

i still have a thing for taxidermy in interiors.
an affordable option, cardboard taxidermy.
i have a picture shelf above my television dying for a little dimension.
a cardboard animal just might do the trick.
mini animal heads sell for $12.00 and large ones for $58.00
i have found several websites that are selling cardboard taxidermy.
cardboard safari carries a wide variety of animal heads.
i just love the mini deer heads, too cute!
uncommon goods also sells a unique cardboard collection.
my daughter would love the elephant.
urban outfitters carries the classic deer head.
and west elm also sells a deer and moose head.

i am leaning towards the classic deer.
what do you think of cardboard taxidermy?

    I think they’re cute! The deer is my fave but even the moose would be appropriate for our place since both tend to roam our area. Sure beats the real thing my step-father-in-law would have hanging in his place! ugh!

    I love the look. In the past, I have found them to be expensive, but these cardboard versions are great and inexpensive. I think it would make a great conversation piece and a chic addition to any room! I think they would look amazing in a group, on a wall!

    I love it. The cardboard is an affordable way to use a trendy design element in your home. And there is something so minimalist about the cardboard that I’m drawn to.
