i painted the stripes and absolutely love them.
they are just what the room needed.
i went with 10 1/2″ black and white stripes.
yep, it is chalkboard paint!
i might not tell emory about the chalkboard paint, still debating that one…
i did leave her a little message in the corner.
it is right behind the wicker chair.
isn’t it amazing what a little paint can do.
it changes the whole room!
i am not the only one jumping for joy about the stripes.
someone else was a little excited…
although i love the results the stripes weren’t a complete success.
my walls have a little texture and the paint bled through the tape.
so it looks like i have some touching up to do.
regardless, i still think it was worth it!
what do you think?
This room looks like it came from a magazine…stunning!
Love it!!!
It turned out so well! the perfect width of stripe!! 🙂

They look fantastic! In your first post it was hard to see the slant to the wall because of the white on white, but it’s more visible now with the stripes and I like it! 🙂 Great work!

I love love love LOVE it.
thats nice ......
The room looks great! It is really happy and fun. How did you attach the DIY headboard to the bed frame? I would like to do the same for a twin bed and I just wasn’t sure if you could screw it right on or how that works. Thanks!
Purchased that same floral you used in your headboard for two big pillows. Loved it so much went back and got more for a big tablecloth. Recently made a neckroll-type pillow and used one of the flowers from the fabric for the round ends. Definitely one of the best prints I ever bought and am loving the way you used it in the room and combined it with striped walls. Great design!
Love it! I’m about to dive into a head board project soon myself! Your simple explanation was definitely helpful!
Where did you get those wonderful night stands?!?!
I absolutely love this! is that bed a queen? I’m looking into doing a DIY headboard project also
