Gallery Wall Frame Round-up!

Most of my design clients request help creating gallery walls.
Gallery walls can be intimidating, expensive, and such a headache to hang!
Since the majority of my design work is done via e-design, I have come up with a way to create to-scale gallery wall lay-outs on my computer.
I have spent LOTS of time making this process as simple as possible, and I will share my templates with you later this week!
In the meantime, I decided to round up a few of my favorite gallery wall frames.
They range in price but are all fairly reasonable.

If you are looking to save money, several stores offer gallery wall packages.
West Elm offers this great 4-piece package for $99.00
Or Walmart offers this 7-piece set for $50.00!
You can also find my gallery wall Pinterest board here.
Hopefully this will help you create!
Also, as I am sure you have heard, google reader is no longer. So sad!
You can follow me here on Blog Lovin, I love this site and think you will be happy with it too!

My Boise Home Entry Tour

Front entry? What is that? It has been a long time since I have lived in a home with an entry.
This home is packed full of amenities that I am not used to, so you will have to bear with me on my excitement about not-so-exciting things.
In our previous apartment rentals, and our condo, the front door opened directly into the living room.
I longed for the day when I could have a real entry, and boy did I get one.
Now it is no dream entry, just the world’s longest hallway, but beggars can’t be chosers right?
But, wait a minute, in the world’s longest hallway there is a…built-in!
Could it be? A built-in just happens to be a first as well. Imagine that.
Although I already shared some of my plans for the living room/dining room with you, I think I will tackle the entry first.
It is screamin’ for some personality and I also need it work for us functionally.
We desperately need a place for us to store our shoes, and a comfy spot to put them on wouldn’t hurt as well.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what I am going to do here, but I hope to make it darn pretty for as cheap as possible.
Between the windows will hang some DIY art that I am currently working on.
Just think of the word HELLO. Creative I know.
I am also on the hunt for the perfect fabric to create an upholstered bench. Think graphic.
Pillows and baskets are also a must.
And if I can find a really inexpensive rug, I just might snag that too!
So what do you think? Do you see the potential I do?

Little Girl’s Bedroom Design!

I finished up this design a couple weeks before the big move and I totally forgot to share it!
I did post about the gorgeous wallpaper, but I wanted to show you the rest of the plan.
I absolutely love designing for this age.
Young enough to still feel playful and whimsical, yet mature enough to grow with the child.
The beautiful bird wallpaper will be hung on the whole wall behind the bed.
It will be sure to make a statement.
I can not wait to see this room come together…I kinda want it for myself!
Later this week I’ll share with you my secret for creating a gallery wall from your computer!
Simple and easy I tell ya.

Our Boise Home Living & Dining Room Tour!

I am back and super excited to be blogging again!
Last Monday we arrived in Boise and received the keys to our new rental home on Tuesday morning.
How exciting.
Remember how I blogged about this other rental? Well it fell through 2 weeks before we were scheduled to move in.
Such a headache.
The Boise rental market is crazy, 99% occupancy and nice places are almost impossible to find. Thank goodness we were able to get our deposit back and secure this home within the day. We are considering ourselves very lucky.
We are thrilled to have a little more space than in Salt Lake City. A little bit about our new rental home:
+1400 square feet
+3 bedroom
+2.5 Bathrooms
+Backyard (a first in our 7 years of marriage!)
+Garage
I am excited to show you around.
Today I am going to start with the living/dining room.
Like I mentioned before, we moved in only 6 days ago so it’s a work in progress, but it feels amazing to have our boxes unpacked.
The view from the kitchen.
I am loving all the windows.
I can’t wait to get some drapery on them.

Our furniture doesn’t fit great in this space, but we have to make it work.
A new rug is a must as this one is WAY too small.
And yes, my office is still in the living room…can’t win them all!

The open living/dining/kitchen planning is working out great already.

The accessibility to the backyard is amazing.
I can watch Emory playing outside from the kitchen, the table and the couch.
The yard is small but so perfect.

I am toying with a removable wallpaper for the television wall.
Don’t you think that would be fun?

You also may have noticed my new Ikea rug in the dining room.
I bought it before leaving SLC and I love it.
I’m not loving it with my chevron rug, but that needs to go anyways!
Unfortunately the dining light is hung way too high and there is no extra chain.
Oh how I wish I could switch it out, but I don’t think it would be worth it for the short 12 months we will be living here.
I’m excited to get some art hung on the walls though!
I’m loving it so far, but I can’t wait to give it a little more personality!
