Affordable Block Printed Fabrics

It’s no secret that John Robshaw has the most amazing textiles.
His fabrics are incredible.
Completely drool worthy actually.
I can’t get enough of his pillows too.
Every single one of them!
Unfortunately the pillows and fabrics are way out of my price range.
One day right?
Until then, I have rounded up some affordable block print and block print inspired fabrics!
They are not John Robshaw but I think they could do the trick!

Are you lusting after block print fabrics too?
I just can’t get enough.

Cottage Chic Home Tour

Today I am excited to share the home of Irene from Life & Lovely.
Her home is a beautiful combination of comfort and chic. It isn’t always easy to marry those two styles, but I think she has done such a fantastic job!
She also has a love for blue…clearly we would get along well!

Her home feels perfectly put together yet also so inviting.
I love it.
You can find Irene over at Life & Lovely as well as on Instagram!

My New Coffee Table: Let’s Vote!

This weekend my hubby and I celebrated our 9th anniversary!
He spoiled me with this cow hide ottoman, which I love! Any gift for my home is a win in my book.
We have it sitting in our family room for now, but it really just isn’t right.
I have the perfect spot for it in my kids room, so it will be moving there shortly.
I desperately need a coffee table and/or some ottomans.
I’ve been working hard on my DIY pillows (which I will share later this week) and now it’s time to address the rest of the space.
Since I added some color/pattern in the pillows,  I really an ottoman that adds a little texture would be perfect.
I am attracted to wood, metal, and leather. Of course budget is a concern, so I have rounded up a few affordable options.

Let’s take a vote!
Which one would you choose?

DIY Headboard & Mini Master Bedroom Reveal!

I have finally made some progress on my master bedroom.
I still have lots of projects on my to-do list, but things are starting to slowly come together.
My budget is very small, so DIY projects are a must!
I am super excited about my DIY spotted headboard, I really think it turned out great!
I purchased the dalmation fabric from Tonic Living. It is only $11.95/yard which is such a great price. Tonic Living is my go-to online store for affordable fabric. They also just happen to be a Canadian based company (woot woot) but ship to the US daily!
This fabric is perfect for a headboard since the pattern can be placed in either direction. I only needed 1.5 yards (for a queen) which made it super affordable too.

I love how simple, crisp, and full of personality this fabric is!
Plus, I can never say no to black & white.
The pillows were a labor of love too. I’ll share more about them next week!
If you follow me on Instagram, I’ve been sharing updates as I go along.

So far I have spent just under $225.00 which includes my nightstands, headboard, pillows, and accessories! Not bad right?
I kept things super simple in regards to making the headboard. For a queen you need:
1.5 yards of fabric
3 yards of batting (use coupon at JoAnn’s)
4 x 8 sheet of plywood (cut to size at Home Depot)
Staples & Staple gun
Step 1: Wrap batting (2 layers) & staple.
Step 2: Lay out fabric.

Step 3: Staple fabric (I start from the middle and work my way out).

Super simple & inexpensive!
Tonic Living is kindly offering 10% off to all my readers! Use the coupon code DANIELLE10 at check-out to activate the discount!
So what do you think? Do you like my new look?
