Simple DIY Art

I adore this bedroom makeover by Cameron MacNeil in Canadian House & Home.
It wasn’t horrible to begin with, just very average looking.
It is not so average anymore!
I love the serene vibe this bedroom gives.
But my favorite part is the DIY art.
He simply framed a piece of beautiful fabric.
Although I have done this several times before, I still think it is genius.

And works perfectly above the nightstand.
Love it!

Square Tufted Ottoman

I have been searching for the perfect square tufted ottoman for my mom’s family room.
I love the practicality of a large ottoman.
It can used as a coffee table, a place to rest your feet, or extra seating.
I like them used in formal or casual spaces.
We need a 42” square ottoman to fit the space.
Since they can be really expensive, we hit up our local classifieds.
We came across this 43” square tufted ottoman for $75.00.
I love the legs, size, and price.
We plan on painting the frame and reupholstering the top with a nubby linen.
I think it will look great, and for $75.00, how do you go wrong?

A Bathroom I Dream About…

I love being on vacation but I never seem to get time to relax.
I am booked with solid with design appointments and playing hard with my family.
I love it, but I wouldn’t mind a minute to relax.
I am so drawn to this bathroom.
The metal pedestal tub and glossy black trim speaks to me.

And a hot bath would be the perfect way to escape this chilly Calgary weather!
