Bright & Bold Designs Pillow Giveaway!

Sorry for my lack for posting last week. I headed to California to look for housing. We saw over 30 apartments and got a good feel for the area. The incredible weather and a bike ride along the beach was more than enough to get me excited for the move. I can’t wait.

Light & Bright E-Design

I spend every night working on e-deisgns and I absolutely love it.
Although I typically share a quick preview of the designs on Instagram, I always forget to post them here! I am also in desperate need of updating my portfolio as I have SO many e-deisgns to add. Maybe next week?
This design was so fun to work on. My client wanted a touch of color, a lot of neutral tones, a slightly rustic vibe, and an overall cohesive feeling.
I used tourquoise and chartreuse as the accent colors, grounded the room with grey furnishings, kept it crisp and clean with touches of white, and cozied it up with the use of natural wood tones.
How great is the chartreuse chair? It so affordable too!
I just love how this space came together.
The room isn’t huge so keeping things light and airy was a must.

In the past I haven’t used a ton of green in my interiors but this design confirmed to me that I need a little more of it in my life!

Mothers Day Blogger Gift Exchange

I am sure you have noticed a change in the dynamics of blogging in the last year or so.
Although I am a huge fan of Pinterest & Instagram, they have really changed the blogging world.

Interaction between bloggers and readers has been moved from the comment section to other forms of social media. Although I must say I happily embrace this change, it is an adjustment. Trying to figure out the best way to stay connected, put out fresh content, and maintain relationships with readers and other bloggers is new territory.

When Stefanie from Brooklyn Limestone and Jen from Rambling Renovators contacted me about participating in a Mothers Day Favorite Things Gift Exchange I couldn’t resist. Just the kind of blogger interaction I have been missing.

The group of ladies is fantastic, I am so honored to be included. If you’ve been looking for some top notch blogs to follow, these are pretty great:

A Mothers Day gift exchange sounds good to me. We will be sending our gifts the first week of April and I can’t wait to hear what everyone gets. Plus, I am dying to know who has me! I’ll be sure to post all about it, and it may give you some good ideas for Mothers Day gifts as well.
I would love to hear your thoughts on interacting with bloggers. Which social media sites do you prefer? Blogs? Instagram? Facebook, Twitter? Pinterest?

Thrifty Tuesday: A Statement Rug

I reference Urban Outfitters regularly for decor.
I like their style and prices and spec them often in designs.
I like to use their rugs when designing nurseries. Their rugs are quite thin (not great for high traffic areas) but they come in awesome patterns/colors and the prices are pretty unbeatable.
I currently have my eye on a few of their rugs and I think they could be a great starting point to some darling nurseries.
I really really love this Chevron Flip rug. I can already picture this rug with white and gold accents. Wouldn’t gold polka dot crib sheets be so cute paired with this rug?
You can never go wrong with this navy rug. I adore the pattern. It could be paired with pinks, greens, yellows…the possibilities are endless.

Hello yellow rug! How can you not be happy in a space with this beauty?!

I am smitten with this geometric rug. A clean lined modern nursery is calling its name.

All of these rugs retail for around $89.00 for a 5’x7′.
When I re-design the kids shared room after the move, I am pretty sure one of these rugs will find its way into the space!
