Look For Less & Vote!

Last month I spotted this white x-nightstand and fell in love.
$165?! What a killer deal too.

A few years back I used a very similar nightstand in a fun little guest bedroom design.
We scored it at a discount outlet store (and painted it white) but it originally sells for $895.00 at William & Sonoma.
Although they are no identical, I would say they are pretty darn close.

Overstock: $165.00
Go Overstock! Oh and that tufted bed is only $498.00 for a queen…what?
I can’t wait to use it in a design!
Also, it has been a good 4 years since I have gotten a new profile picture. I was long overdue.
I desperately need to hire a professional, but in the meantime, I talked my trusty husband into helping me out.
I awkwardly posed around the house as he snapped a few pictures.
Here are a few that made the cut.
I would love your input!
1 – Just taking a rest on my television stand (backwards watch – check).
2- A regular day at home.
3- Oh hey, I didn’t even notice you there.
4 – Getting some work done on my bed with a full face of make-up, obviously.
Which is your favorite?
Of course, I wanted these to be as realistic as possible. I mean, It’s no secret that I am camera ready at all times…pfff!

Thrifty Tuesday: Colorful & Affordable

I am pretty sure one of the reasons I am obsessed with Urban Outfitter’s home section is because of their incredible use of color. It’s no secret that I love me some color and UO is killing it right now.

First up, have you seen their new Altiplano Duvet Cover? Otomi fabric was trending several years ago and I am still such a fan!

Also, check out the pink
I am thinking these would make some pretty fabulous drapery too!

This pale blue duvet with lime trim is pretty darn fabulous.

Oh and this blanket, be still my heart. Fold this bad boy on the end of my bed and I would be happy girl!

I loooove this neon desk lamp. It comes in three colors and I am dreaming of owning it for my own desk.

This hot pink side table gets two thumbs up from me!
A wood lamp dipped in pink? Yes yes please!
The detail on this little hexagon table is amazing. The color isn’t too shabby either.

Thanks so much UO, I am now broke!

Tufted Linen Chairs for Under $300.00!

My e-deisgn clients budgets vary greatly.
Although for the most part, I work with clients who need thrifty options to stay within their budgets.
Sofas, rugs, and case goods typically take up the majority of the budget so I like to save a little on accessories and chairs!
In order to find chairs that are inexpensive yet look expensive, I like to stay with linen fabrics and tufted backs.
Here are a few of my favorite chairs all for under $300.00.

Plus, I can’t say no to a good tufted chair!
Happy Monday!

DIY Sharpie Wallpaper

Drawing on your walls with sharpies is nothing new, but I am still so intrigued by it.
I try to steer away from DIY projects that end up looking crafty, but I have spent lots of time researching this sharpie wallpaper thing, and I am impressed.
I’ve done my best to round-up my favorite DIY sharpie wallpaper projects, and if you are not inspired after seeing these…well then I can’t win.
I am absolutely in love with Classy Clutters sharpie wall. It doesn’t just look legit, it is also so pretty.

I love how they styled this space, mixing modern geometric patterns with traditional pieces.
We can’t talk about sharpie walls without mentions Mandy from Vintage Revivals. Have you seen her most recent office reveal featured in People?!
I love everything about this space, but particularly her sharpie wall.

This wasn’t the first sharpie wallpaper for Mandy. Last year she redesigned her living room and rocked one.
Who knew a gold sharpie could be so useful?
And affordable too right?
I absolutely love this unexpected sharpie wall. The irregular pattern and is just so good.
A Beautiful Mess created this horse wallpaper using a white pen!
What a fun way to address an odd shaped wall!

They also created a hand written wall with a sharpie!
Amazing right? Now if that doesn’t give you a hand cramp I am not sure what will!
You may also remember Cuckoo 4 Designs powder room sharpie makeover?
Love love love!
She also stenciled the back of her bookcase/desk with a sharpie. That girl, she can do no wrong!
This sweet little nursery by Ashe + Leandro is NOT a sharpie wall but one of my favorite wallpapers by Cavern
Guess what I am thinking people? This could so be sharpied right?
What do you think?
Are you going to be breaking out your sharpie soon?
