World Prematurity Day

Everyday I think of how lucky I am to have my little miracle.
Emory was born at 24 weeks and weighed 1 pound 9 ounces.
She spent 96 days in the NICU.
I got to hold her for the first time when she was 27 days old.
It was a long 27 days.

She had one heart surgery, a couple scares of infections, and loved to hold her breath until she turned purple!
After three long months in the NICU, she came home on oxygen.
She remained on oxygen until she was 8 months old.

And thankfully she has only been admitted to the hospital one time since we left!
She is now in perfect health with no outstanding complications.
Thank goodness for all the doctors, nurses, amazing medical technology, and lots of prayers.
We owe everything to them.
Today I will be wearing purple in honor of all the babies born too soon, you should too 🙂

Bijou Market!

If you live in Utah, you better be heading to the Bijou Market this weekend.
I know I will be.
Lucky for us, there are two locations offered this year, Salt Lake City and Provo!
I will be hitting up the Provo location on Saturday morning.
Last year I got some great stuff and tons of christmas gifts.
There are SO many amazing vendors, it really is something you don’t want to miss.

Maybe I will see you there?
If you see me, please say hello, I would love to meet you 🙂

Our Festive Weekend…

This weekend my in-laws brought me my Christmas tree!
I have officially upgraded from a 4.5 foot tree to a 7.5 foot tree, wahoo.
The tree was looking awfully lonely just sitting in the box, I couldn’t help myself.
So, I decided I would ONLY put it together.
Once is was up, my urge to put the lights on was too strong.
And then I needed to take an inventory of my decorations, so I thought I would put 50% of them on, logical right?
Before I knew it my tree was 75% decorated. Yes, I need help.
I did save the rest of the decorations to up as a family.
I made a cute little video of our festivities.
I got this idea from YHL, expect theirs is way cooler 🙂

I need to buy a couple more decorations to finish it off but it is almost there.
And even though I know it is super early, I can’t help but smile every time I look at it.
There is something so magical about a Christmas tree.

Are you fighting the urge to get your tree up?
Or am I the only crazy one?

I needed some inspiration…

I’ve been lacking the inspiration needed to finish up at my home.
I need to select a couple fabrics and was having a hard time deciding on the direction I want to head.
Viv’s home tour from Ish & Chi sealed the deal for me, I now know what I want!
I am sure you can find some inspiration in this home too, it is stunning.
