Yesterday I came across this post regarding a few awesome sales on light fixtures at World Market.
Unfortunately we missed the sale of this Large Wood Bead Chandelier but it got me thinking.
Doesn’t this chandelier resemble the Turquoise Drape Chandelier from Horchow?
I mean, all it is missing is a little color and a few beads right? Not only do they look similar, they are almost the exact same size.
World Market Chandelier: $270.00
Jenny from LGN is known to use nail polish to transform lighting fixtures, you can see one here.
Makes me wonder…a combo of spray paint and nail polish might make this DIY pretty simple and quite inexpensive.

What do you think?
Is this something you would tackle? I want it so bad.
Or I could just splurge on the ever so popular Hedy Chandelier for $4,500.00…ya right.
xo,

I have that world market chandelier in my dining room and love it! I wish I had caught it when it was on sale, but it’s still not a bad price. Painting it is a great idea!
I know, the sale was so great! So glad you love it, thats awesome to hear!
What was the sale price?
Thanks for the link on your blog 🙂 I read your every post! Brilliant idea about the paint! I think you could totally do it and I hope you do.
I want to so bad! I don’t have anywhere for it right now, but if I do in the near future I plan on making it happen!
Yes I have often contemplated doing something with that World Market version. Can’t get over the “real” one! I dream about it at night. It was one of the first items I pinned to my future home board 🙂
What an amazing idea! I would totally do that.
I had actually bought an antique wood bead chandelier like that at an auction for $25 last year. I was so excited and then couldn’t find a space for it in our home. I had to resell it. Such a bummer 🙁 But I made some extra cash!
Go for it! I definitely think you could make that work.
Oh, what a price difference. This is a lovely idea for a chandelier and it’s definitely better to do it yourself. Nicole from Chandelier Spot
