Although I spend the majority of my time designing for my clients, I love to dream up spaces for my own home too.
A couple weeks ago a reader requested that I share some of the designs I have saved for my own home!
I am going to start with my master bedroom.
If I could start over right now, it would look a little like this…
I love the idea of mixing Mid-Cenurty inspired pieces with traditional deep tufting and ethnic fabrics. Thank goodness my husband can handle a little pink 🙂
Wouldn’t it be so fun to start from scratch?
I am pretty darn obsessed with the bed. Although I have seen it several times before, I officially fell in love with it when Emily Henderson used it in a design.

Isn’t it dreamy? I am pretty sure I need it.
And can you believe it is from Target and only $619.00 for a queen?
Now if only I could buy it all…
Do you ever dream up spaces too?
xo,

I love that bed too! I actually just did a master bedroom design board with a similar one on my blog yesterday 🙂

LOVE your design!
I love this design! Good combination of colors and textures and I too fell in love with that bedroom by Emily Henderson.
Thanks! Emily can do no wrong.
i love this! my next bedroom will actually look similar to the one emily designed since i already have similar items in different colors. i love the bench you picked though. i might need one!
That room is pretty darn perfect.
Cannot believe that bed is Target. So amazing.

I know right? I really do need it!
I totally agree with you. I’m thankful that my husband can handle a little pink too. Can’t live without it 😉
And this is the most genius and gorgeous room design ever.
I can’t get enough of that rug! What’s the source?
And if I lived near a West Elm I you better believe I would work there for the discount. (And basically make zero dollars) (I’d work at Ikea too) #dreamjobs
Love you design Danielle! If I could start over, my master bedroom would be really different. Guess I will just have to transform it one baby step at at time!

Such a pretty room! I think you need it all 🙂
Where is the rug from?
Do I dream up spaces?… All the time!
It’s a beautiful design, Danielle. Love the bed and the rug too. The moodboard for my future master bedroom is very similar, except that the accent colour is not going to be pink (sigh).
I am always daydreaming of ways to update my decor, just never thought of sharing it : )
Thanks for the inspiration. I love the rich navy colour of the bed!
I’ve been stalking a wingback tufted bed on Wayfair (http://www.wayfair.com/Skyline-Furniture-Wingback-Bed-SKY2908.html) as we’re coming up with a plan for our master. It’s made by a company called Skyline. I think they also make the upholstered beds sold on Costco. If you look at the pictures of your bed on Target, it shows it in the same room, same nightstand, lamp, paneling, etc. So I think it must be by Skyline too. Do you know anything about the quality? I’m so close to pulling the trigger but afraid because I want it to hold up well. I’d love your professional opinion if you have one on this!
Oh, the bed, and the chandelier! I wouldn’t mind decorating our bedroom with these! That would be truly divine! And if I ever dream up spaces? All the time! Sometimes I wish I could live in several different apartments and then decorate each of them in different style and choose where I wish to stay according to my mood. Hugs, Kay xx
I love this design, I wish I could have that bed! 🙂
