I have been working like crazy on e-designs and have come across some really amazing deals.
I found this rug at Urban Outfitters and was inspired to create a nursery design around it.
When Emory was born we were very poor students. Her early arrival, long hospital stay, and lots of extra medical needs left us with very little for a nursery. At the time I didn’t realize a beautiful space on a very tight budget was possible.
If I could turn back the clock 5 years, this nursery would have been perfect.
The total for everything on the design board comes to just over $400.00.
I am a big believer that all types of income levels and budgets should have access to good design. Sometimes it takes a little digging to find the good stuff, but it is out there!
The mirror is from Home Depot. I use this all the time in designs, it is awesome. ($35.00)
The drapery is from IKEA. I haven’t seen these in person but I am loving them. I wouldn’t mind finding a place for them in my home. ($15.00 for 2 panels)
The sheepskin rug is from IKEA. ($10.00)
The art is from Olive & Branch. It is a printable. ($4.50)
The rug is from Urban Outfitters, I love the print and color. It definitly sets the tone for the room.($90.00)
The crib sheet is from Land of Nod. ($30.00)
The dresser is from IKEA. You can follow this tutorial to transform it into a campaign style dresser. ($80.00)
Total: $440.00
I hope you like it!

You are so right Danielle when you said “I am a big believer that all types of income levels and budgets should have access to good design.” I have seen those drapes at Ikea and they are super nice. I wanted my daughter to get them for her apartment but she felt they were too nautical…youth, they just don’t know design 😉

Oh how can you not love it? That rug is fabulous actually… those colors are great and it would be wonderful in my little girls room. I might have to look into that. and the Ikea crib… I actually have it and love it. It is small and low profile… doesn’t feel flimsy at all but feels more on the scale of a baby compared to some of the huge massive cribs you see often. So yep love it… haha

Love it all! I’ve purchased the Ikea drapes and they are an amazing price for what you get but they are pretty sheer..
and I could not agree more that with today’s affordable sources everyone can have a gorgeous home!
