My in-laws recently bought a home built in the 50’s.
It hasn’t been touched since and is packed full of the original lighting, flooring, and appliances…how cool.
They plan on adding some updates to the home, but staying true to it’s mid-century modern style.
I must admit, I am a little jealous.
I just love the clean lines and classic furniture pieces mid-century modern offers.
I thought this home tour on apartment therapy was fun, even if you don’t have a home built in the 50’s, the proper use of furniture and wall color can transform most homes into a sleek mid-century gem.

YES! I love midcentury anything!
I love mid-century everything on an individual basis but I don’t know if I’d want an entire room or house fully mid-century … too much like a museum or movie set.

I’d have to agree with Robin. I LOOOOVE mid-century pieces but I like them to be mixed in with other styles. I’m sure whatever you come up with will be fabulous 🙂

Mid-century is great, but even better if its mixed in with other pieces. I especially love when a piece has mid-century detailing, but doesn’t scream 50’s/60’s/70’s. Those Bertoia chairs are great though–the more the better!
Yes!! I love the style and its one of my favorites – for sure, I would love to decorate in this era – so Mad Men, so ‘cocktails at six’ with a nice bar set up on a wheeled table…and…see, I’m already getting carried away! ;-0
