I can’t believe it, I am 22 weeks!
Although I want time to pass quickly, I am absolutely terrified for what the next two weeks may bring.
I am trying to focus on the positive and loving every kick and squirm that I feel on a regular basis. It is such an amazing feeling.
I had my 22 week check-up on Tuesday and got some not-so-great news.
My cervix has started to shorten a little, making my doctor a little concerned. As of now it is still long enough to be in the considered in the “safe zone” but it sure has me worried. I now go back weekly to have my cervix checked, if it continues to shorten they will have to stitch it closed, ugh.
We are exactly 2 weeks away from when I went into labour with my daughter Emory. My mind is heavy and I can’t seem to turn it off. It was such a nice treat to have my family here this week and take my mind off of worrying!
Thank you for being so patient with me, I know things have been awfully slow around here. I hope to get back to a daily blogging schedule soon and share some fun projects I have been working on!
Until then, my main goal is to keep this baby in 🙂

You look great! I will keep you in my prayers, Danielle. The blog will certainly survive you focusing on keeping that baby where he needs to be! So glad your family was there to provide some relief from the worry!

Thinking about ya and praying everything goes well Dani! You’re doing GREAT and I can only imagine how hard it is to focus on everything else when your little one is squirming around all the time. Take it easy and I’ll be hoping these next two weeks fly by so you can get over that mental barrier sooner rather than later. I’m sure it’s hard. xo

You’ve been on my mind and I’ll definitely be adding you to my prayers. I believe in the power of positive affirmations and thoughts on our body. Seriously try to take 2-5 minutes a day to lay down and listen to a recording of yourself saying positive affirmations about the delivery and when baby will come. It’s worth a shot! Love you!!
You will be in my prayers! I am 35 weeks and I am just hoping to make my due date so I can get everything done work-wise…I can’t imagine your worry!! Take it easy and feel no guilt about the things going on the back-burner!

I’m sending positive thoughts and prayers to you, Danielle. I can’t imagine the worry you experiencing. Just try to take it easy and relax. I realize that is easier said than done when you have another child and a successful business! Keep us posted, we’ll keep praying for you and your sweet baby!

Another preemie mom here (27wks, now 3 years old and perfect, if I do say so myself). Hang in there. Just the fact that they’re keeping such close tabs on your is great. Like GI Joe says, Knowing is Half the Battle! Now they can be proactive and keep that bun where (s)he belongs. I’m with you though and you’re in my thoughs. Be tough, Mommy.

Hey Danielle…don’t you dare worry about your blog, it’s wonderful and all your followers care about truly is your health and wellness. I am a massive worry wort and 99% of the time for no real reason. It’s actually kind of debilitating sometimes. I just wanted to tell you my cervix was short too…had to rush to get a sonogram and make sure all was fine. It was and my cervix stayed that way for the last 20 or so weeks. I carried to term, but was a serious nervous nelly…it took my 10 years to get pregnant and I was just so scared. My advice…take it easy and know tons of women out there are praying and rooting for you. You look gorgeous, so enjoy!
