Sometimes smaller is better, right?
Seems like an odd statement, but sometimes having just enough room makes it easier to design and requires effective storage solutions.
This 84 sq.ft nursery featured on Apartment Therapy is not only adorable but fully functional.
Although I am sure they would love a traditional closet, their creative 15 wall-mounted storage bins are mighty cool.
I also love how she hung a fabric panel behind the crib to cover up an unnecessary door. Covering a door or not, this is a great solution to inexpensively add some color and pattern.
This teeny space manages to have a crib, changing table/dresser, twin bed, bookshelf, wall storage, and hanging space for clothing.

Living in a small space also requires you to purge any unnecessary items, allowing you to only keep things you really love or need.
I think that might be my favorite part about living in my small condo, if something new comes in, something old must go out!
Do you find small spaces inspiring or does it just make your head hurt?
We downsized to a house a third of the size of our previous home and I love it. We are a very active family so we are hardly ever home to begin with but I find it easier to decorate and we don’t have a ton of stuff to manage. It seems more simple and cleaner but yet comfortable and just plain pretty. I love it and really have no desire to go bigger again.
Big fat LOVE this! and using the wall for that “dresser” storage is awesome. how inspiring. While I like having a lot of space in my house, there is really too much to have to decorate (and I’m an int. Designer!– of course if I wasn’t on a tight budget that might be a different story:-)) I just visited my sister who lives in a 400 sf apt in Hong kong, and I loved how functional it was, because it had to be. Thanks for sharing.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I am beginning to love smaller more and more, if its too big it’s just wasted space
I’m always drawn to small spaces it seems. Maybe its because I love a good challenge, or its my brain preparing me that I’ll probably always been in a small space. 🙂 Great inspiration.
This little space is packed with cuteness! I love how cozy it feels and it really proves that you don’t need a lot of space to create a beautiful room! Thanks for sharing!

yes, always. We are constantly purging things, and it encourages siblings to play together and interact. such a good thing!
I remember seeing this space on AT but I didn’t realize that fabric was a door! What a good idea… it’s such a great burst of color and pattern.
Love! Small spaces are so fun to design! Great post ;p
I swear the older I get, the smaller I want my space to be!! Just so much simpler! Of course I’d have to purge 80% of my life!
I keep trying to convince myself of this at the moment because our house is feeling mighty tight. This nursery sure proves that you can be totally creative in a smaller space- so sweet!
Teeny spaces just make my head hurt. I’ve discovered that since I have a pretty large open great room, small rooms make me claustrophobic. This nursery, however, is awesome!
