I have been searching high and low for the perfect chandelier for Emory’s room.
No such luck.
I have found a couple that I love, but they are WAY out of my budget, so I guess I have no choice but to DIY!
I have seen several DIY capriz chandeliers before, but this one by Lisa Roy took my breath away.
It doesn’t look homemade, which I think is SO important in any DIY project.
Mine will have to be much smaller, but I think it is just perfect.

You can see the full tutorial here.
Do you think I can do it?
I’ve also have some other things up my sleeve for Emory’s room.
I took back the rug, it just wasn’t doing it for me…
And, all of her black picture frames have been spray painted gold!
Hopefully I will get them up soon, I love them.
Oooooo! I hope you do it! That would be so awesome. It will look great.
Oh yeah, you can totally do it. Today, I posted about a baby shower I did where we made garland like that… I’ve also seen paper baby mobiles made out of the same thing. I love the wax paper idea, it will totally mimic the look that you are going for!!
Ohh, I cant wait to see it! Please do share!!

Hey dan! my family did this as a group diy and it was awesome and turned out awesome! I used a plant holder, everyone else used a lampshade and added a row or two and they turned out GORGEOUS!
soooo good to see you the other day, btw!
oh! also…make sure its a good punch….we HATED ours. I ended up buying a cut out where you could adjust the size of the circles and I liked it MUCH better. JoAnn, I love you.

I have no doubt you could do it and it would turn out gorg!!

Check out world market- coffee 8″ capiz hanging pendant. It wouldn’t let me share the link for some reason. It’s only $19.99
Aw yes- the capiz chandy. It’s been on my DIY list for ages, but I cant bring myself to start cutting/punching all those little circles. Can’t wait to see yours!
