I don’t typically design corporate spaces.
They don’t interest me and I don’t have a whole lot of experience with them.
Although, recently one of my good friends convinced me to help him with his new office space.
I was hesitant but I agreed.
Little did I know, I would love doing it.
He came to me with a picture of a desk similar to this one.
I couldn’t of been happier with his selection, it sure made my job easy.
He wanted comfortable, simple, modern, and streamline.
Here is the original design board I came up with:
Although the design is slowly evolving, the general direction gets me so excited.
Anytime I get to spec the Eames Lounge Chair, I am a happy camper.
One of his main requirements was a sofa.
I found this mid-century modern inspired sofa at Crate and Barrel.
Best part, it comes in an apartment size as well, perfect for a corporate space.
I headed over yesterday to check it out.
It was very comfortable yet still sleek, perfect.
I am also toying with swapping out the upholstered chairs for these leather beauties.
The lines are to die for.
And these potted Papyrus plants are so cool!
I am really excited about this project and I can’t wait until the furniture arrives!
I guess corporate design isn’t so bad after all.
It’s great to be pushed out of your comfort zone. Your board is great! And, that Eames chair…sigh.
Love what you’ve done with the office!
LOVE it…to use an Eames chair in real life- dream come true! I also adore those leather ones you spotted and great sofa. Office heaven my dear:)
The board you came up with is fantastic! Those papyrus plants are amazing. That is going to be one fabulous office space!

This is your best board yet. I have to say, when someone truly enjoys what they are doing it shows. Great job Danielle!
wow! what a sexy corporate design! I agree with using the Crate and Barrel leather chairs- so MCM and sleek.
It’s going to be beautiful–and I always love an Eames chair!
Pretty cool office space! I am sure they will love it!
what a cool office, i would love to work there!
Good luck! It looks fabulous!!! 🙂
Ah I LOVE IT! All of those pieces work sooo well together. We’re moving out of our shoebox of an apartment soon so naturally I’ve been dreaming up how I want to decorate the new space. I’ve been SO drawn to mid-century modern furniture. It’s good to know that even streamline furniture can still be comfortable. Thanks for sharing your work! I’m excited to see the space come together!
I kinda wanna turn my house into corporate style. Corporate mom of five kids that is!
That would be a fun project! Can’t wait to see the finished product. My fiance would LOVE this scheme.
Nice chair.
Good choices! Not bad considering that you are not really into designing corporate offices.
A true modern feel for an office. Bet working there is great and productive. 🙂
