I have been itching to change up my bedroom.
I still like it but I am ready for something different.
Remember how I got this fabric for Christmas?
I was planning on making pillows for my living room, but once the fabric arrived, I couldn’t help but wonder what it would look like on my headboard.
So, I quickly draped it over…
I had to railroad the fabric since it wasn’t wide enough, but I think it works.
What do you think?
So, let’s hear your vote:
1. Go for the headboard?
2. Or stick with the pillows?
Katie @ Wildwood Creek says
Love the new fabric! Go for it. Another thought would be to make shams with the fabric, which would look cool against your dark headboard.
A Vintage Vine says

Going with the masses on this one…headboard!
{Hi Sugarplum!} says
1) what does railroading mean?
2) How would pillows of that fabric look with your existing bed?
I think the headboard with the new fabric is stunning, and perfect and gorgeous.
{Hi Sugarplum!} says
Oops, published too soon….also, how much of the new fabric is covered by shams and pillows?!
Debora says
I’d love to see your headboard in a bright, punchy pattern and use the fabric for pillows.

I prefer the contrast of the existing headboard. But, the fabric is AMAZING.

I think the fabric would look great as pillows or a headboard! If you want an overall “brighter” look to your space, go with the headboard. I love your existing headboard too, so whatever you decide it is going to look fabulous. I can’t wait to see what you end up doing!

I love it as a headboard. That fabric is beautiful and I think it really brightens the space. Maybe add some navy shams and bright patterned throw pillows.

My vote is headboard. It’ll give you more of the change you’re looking for. Pillows are easy. It also brightens up the room too. Hope that helps.
Kristy @ I Design Love says
I would say use that fabric for pillows. I love the warmth and color that your headboard brings to the room. I think using that fabric for pillows will create a beautiful graphic statement, that won’t be overbearing.

I like the headboard either way, but it pops off the wall more with the darker existing fabric. (But the new fabric is gorgeous and would look great anywhere!)

Jennifer L. Griffin says
Headboard! You can always get something else for pillows but what you have would look terrific on a headboard!

I really like it! The white really keeps the room looking clean and simple- but there’s enough pattern to make it fun. Go for it!

Happy New Year Danielle. I hope you and your family had a lovely Christmas / New Year period together.
I love the fabric and it would make a fantastic headboard or pillows but for my money I reckon you get more wow factor from the headboard. Besides if you then tire of the headboard at some point the fabric can still be used for pillows at that point. You get to use it twice!

I say go for the headboard – I think it would be fantastic with the new fabric.
Kim @ keller-creative says
I think you should still make pillows. That way you can put them in your living room, bedroom or wherever else you feel you need that great fabric!
Brenda says
The darker fabric looks best for the headboard. This fabric used for pillows would be beautiful against the existing headboard!
Lisa @ Trapped In North Jersey says
I vote for the headboard, although the darker material is more of a pop against the walls. But the material is gorgeous!
Kendall says
Definitely the headboard, in my opinion!
designbymilada says
It would of coarse look fabulous either way but i would use it on pillows. Its just my opinion. The light fabric headboard would light up the whole room, but I just like the darker fabric with the gold accent accessories better. If you go with the light fabric for headboard, I would change up also some accessories for silver instead of gold.
Karena says
I love the fabric. If you use it for the headboard I would tie in a darker mix of pillows and bedding.
Happy New Years and All the Best in 2012!

Absolutely love the fabric on the headboard!! And I think I prefer it railroaded. I think if you did three Euro pillows in the very back in a contrasting fabric your white bedding would really pop, too. The chevron throw looks fantastic in the mix!
