I don’t know about you, but I regularly check my local online classifieds for furniture.
Every once in a while I find something I love.
Last night I came across a set of 4 faux bamboo chairs.
If I didn’t already have some, I would snag these up.
They are asking $285.00 for the set, but I would definitely offer less.
They have a similar look to the ones used in these yummy dining rooms.
And I would definitely paint them a fun color.
Love the yellow.
Have you found anything good lately?

Oh my, I love those so much I’d almost pay to ship them to me! Really, I need to move somewhere that has better used stuff; it’s amazing to see what folks no longer want / can use.

I would love a set of those chairs! I did score a set of nesting tables at an estate sale for $30…they were a great buy!

No! I’ve been scouring Craig’s List for the last several months looking for some dining room chairs. Nothing! Those are really beautiful and I agree, would be fantastic in a fun color!
I see bloggers post great finds like these all the time. I have never found anything good! Do people in Ohio not have good taste or do they just hoard stuff? 🙂

The drawbacks to living in a small town is that the classified listings are small too! But I browse them every once in a while anyways…I can’t stand paying full price for anything 🙂

Well you were quite a hoot! I think you should buy the chairs too, I think you NEED them!
Just got a metal bed my neighbor was throwing out. We sprayed it and it looks awesome…it’s for my son’s room and that small change inspired us to do a total makeover in there. We’re trying to do it as cheaply as possible. So far we have a free bed, free antique chest, and a $3 armoire…not too shabby, huh? So yeah, I’ve found quite a few things lately;)

I got my dining room chairs for $10 each off craigslist – we painted them and I have one seat cushion finished! I posted about it on my blog :o)

I love them Danielle. I got lucky on CL last year and scored 4 look-alikes (def. not that nice) faux bamboo chairs with similar lines. $10 a piece. I drove an hour to get them and resold them for much much more 🙂 Great find!!

No I haven’t and it frustrates the hell out of me that we don’t have anything good available second hand here in Australia. Our Ebay stuff is rubbish, our sales are rubbish and you can’t get anything much vintage either. I look at the kind of things you can find in the US and it makes me want to cry! If you search for bamboo furniture online in Australia the only you find is hideous chunky bamboo stuff from the 70s and 80s. Those chairs looks great!
Ahh LOVE! I have been looking for some. I know they have become a bit overdone but anything faux bamboo and i am down! I found three of these, the armchair version, all for 30$. OH EM GEE. Buut alas, clearly someone else saw their value and scooped them up before i could. I hate when that happens!

Those chairs are so fun! Ive been scouring Craigslist lately, but coming up empty handed! Happy weekend friend!
I was at a furniture resale shop and came across a bamboo dining set. The table was rectangular with a glass top, and there were four chairs. My only hesitation is that the chairs had woven seats, and some were not in great shape. I’m kicking myself now because the set was gone the next day when I went back for it. I think it was $125 total.
