Thanks so much for your comments yesterday.
You guys are too sweet 🙂
Now let’s get back to design…
Ever since I saw this Ikea Rast hack, I can’t get it out of my head.
I know we have all seen a million Rast hacks, but these red Dorothy Draper inspired side tables speak to me.
I think I might have to re-visit my Ikea Rast Hacks.
I love them but I wouldn’t mind a change.

Are you loving these too?
I think she did such an amazing job!
Are you convinced yet?
If not, Lisa from Trapped in North Jersey just completed these beauties for her bedroom.
The blue and gold combo is to die for.

Well actually her whole bedroom is.
You rock Lisa.
I can’t wait to get started!

Ooh, I’ve never seen this hack! It looks just like mine. If you’re going to do it, maybe try the newest O’verlays… it will save you sooo much time painting/taping the gold parts. See them here… makes me want to put colorful “Draper” chests in every room!

I have been loving this hack too. Did you see that O’verlays now has a piece that you can use to make these?!?! Your story about your daughter brought tears to my eyes. She is so sweet and adorable. I can’t even imagine how terrifying those first months must have been. Hope you have a great weekend!

I’m a follower of hers and I think they are the best rast hacks I’ve ever seen! I’m going to do some in my place, but probably stick to traditional black for the certain decor I have in mind 🙂

The rast rocks! I wanted to use them in our bedroom but they were just too small. Oh well, I’ll just drool over these other ones 🙂

I’m sooo excited that people liked my idea of changing the rast into a Dorothy Draper chest!! I did mine in the original black but now I want a pair in every color!!! People who have tried my hack have been sending their pictures to me, but I have never seen the turquoise yet! Love!
