Every year or so I like to hang from the ceiling and take a picture.
C’mon, I know you do it too.
I think I have mangled my body into every possible position just to take a picture, that’s normal right?
Here is what my little adode looked like 18 months ago…
Ahhh!
And now…
Much better.
The drapery and dark fireplace make me cringe.
I still have a million projects planned.
I can’t wait to see how it changes in the next year.
First up, my faux bamboo chairs.
Finally.
Ha…I do that too! So much easier to really “see” the room in pictures. Love the changes.
You’re too funny! I say it’s an occupational hazard. Change is a good thing!
Love the changes! It looks fabulous now, Danielle!
Looks fabulous !!! Love the changes.
I think I’m in love with change too! My living room has also changed SO much in the past 18 months. Now I just can’t wait for you to get here so – 1. The baby can finally come out & 2. You can finish my living room!
I love the changes you made. Little changes can have such a big impact. I have been waiting to see those bamboo chairs!
Such an improvement! Your desk really pops there, looks great.

That’s a fun idea to do each year – you’ve added some really nice touches!
Stunning! I love the refreshing white and pops of color!
It looks great! I love your blog!
love how your office ended! and how you incorporated two more colors to the palette and still managed to make it look great!
I’ve never actually taken a photo from the ceiling, but since I’ve started blogging I’ve definitely noticed how looking through my photos helps me realize what I like and what I can’t wait to change about my place. Your place is looking great – I love how the new desk transforms the space!
The addition of the rug and painting the fireplace made a huge difference – it’s looking fantastic! I can’t help moving things around all the time as well – a hazard of the profession I think? 🙂
I don’t know if I’ve actually done this but maybe I’ll start! I like it now so much!!!!
Your new desk and artwork look so fresh, love the rug, too! It all says fun & happy to me!
LOVE the changes. The fireplace makes such a great difference. Like that perspective as well.
Awesome idea, I’d love to see a photo of you taking that photo!!!
Beautiful progression, Danielle!
What a fun angle…and so cool to see the evolving transformation!
and that house in today’s post is awesome!!!
Hi Danielle, just wanted to let you know I featured a picture of your living/dining room on my blog today. 🙂
