My Mom and I finally finished our painting projects.
Remember how we bought a paint sprayer? Yes, I am still obsessed.
I can’t believe how easy it was.
More on that tomorrow, I will share my paint spraying tips with you 🙂
We painted a china hutch, coffee table, and an old desk.
Here is the china hutch before:
And after:
We chose a bright aqua blue, I love how fun and playful the color is.
Here is the room before:
And after:
We painted the coffee table a crisp white, added a couple accessories and pillows from TJ Maxx, and a cowhide rug to the floor that my mom had lying around the cabin.
The pillows were definitely the inspiration for the new color palette.
I love how fresh the blue cabinet looks with the crisp white interior.
Isn’t it amazing what a little paint can do for a room?
My mom still has plans to replace the brown sofa with a white one, but I think our mini makeover was a success.
Now what to spray paint next….
Wow – paint really is a quick fix. Love the changes!!
What a difference the change in color (and the addition of accessories) makes to the room! Beautiful!
the cabinet is gorgeous!
I’m loving that blue. I’m glad to hear it’s easy. I have some pieces to paint for my sister and I was dreading it. I may have to borrow my dads sprayer.
Wonderful transformation! Love that gorgeous china hutch, what a great color! And those pillows with the pom poms are so pretty!

Everything looks so refreshing in this space! I am a huge fan of the “paint it” movement!

Love how the color brings definition to every object in the room … even those that weren’t painted. Now my eye can see all the pieces and appreciate each. And the look is lighter and fresh which has to come closer to the feeling of the land surrounding that gorgeous summer lake home.

Gorgeous. That pop of color just made the room! Definitely intrigued by the paint sprayer idea…
Wow it looks gorgeous! It adds a beautiful pop of color! I bought a Wagner paint sprayer for some Chippendale chairs I got on craigslist that I wanted peacock blue. I had a problem with getting a smooth finish on them. I thinned it out and just kept getting a texture finish and I wanted a high gloss smooth finish. Did you have a problem with that at all? What model did you get! I would love to try again on an antique bedroom set I got for my girls room, it is going to be a lot of painting and I would take any tips! I can’t wait to see the other pieces!
Aggh! What a change. The whole room looks happier now! I love the contrast of the cabinet against the wood. Everytime I paint furniture, I wish I had a sprayer…This is convincing me even more that it’s a need not a want. (I’ll try to sell that to the Mr.)
love it! can’t wait to see the desk!
Wow … wow … what a difference some painted furniture made to the room. Now I’m peering around my house to see what needs painting ….

I have also feel in love with the art of spray painting. Last weekend was the first time ever in my life i had ever spray painted and i kinda made me wish I could go back in time and join a spray painting crew!

It definitely added a pop of colour! The pillows are lovely too.
Amazing makeovers! I adore that blue. Pretty please share the name/brand of the hue. Thanks!
