$100.00 Well Spent

Yesterday my Mom and I tackled a painting project.
We decided to invest in a paint sprayer.
Best.Decision.Ever.
It was  only $100.00 from Home Depot and truly changed my life.
We sanded and prepped an armoire, coffee table, and an old desk.

Then we broke out the sprayer and got busy.
It was incredible.
How have I never done this before?
4 minutes later all the pieces were primed, no joke.
It was so easy and they coated amazing.

We ran out of time yesterday but hope to finish them today.
Anyone else addicted to a paint sprayer?
I cant get enough!

I recently bought a spray gun too – and I could not agree more – best $ spent ever!! I have been too nervous to prime with it – since primer is so think, but may have to give it a shot. Love it!

must get one! I have been too afraid to do much painting because I don’t like painting with a brush – my husband is a renovator – can’t believe he hasn’t bought me one yet!

For painting a few pieces at once the sprayer can’t be matched. Looking forward to the finished poject.
Just a tip…keep the gun super clean or it won’t work for you the next time.

I haven’t ever tried using one, but I’ve wondered if it might speed up the painting process. Sounds like it does! And only $100?! Hmmm. My birthday is coming up; I may need to drop the hint.
(Can’t wait to see these pieces finished.)

Love my sprayer too. I also have a Wagner, but it’s the $70 version. I only use it for water-based paints and primers b/c I don’t want to mess with cleaning up oil-based products. It’s so easy to clean it out with water. The more industrial kinds are a little trickier to keep clean from what I understand. But with my little Wagner, I left turquoise paint in it for a week, and just rubber-banded a plastic bag over the nozzle, and used it for 1-2 coats a day as needed before I cleaned it out. Never gummed up on me. If needed, though, I could have just run water through the nozzle and all would be well. The only thing I don’t like is having to thin out my paint or primer before I start, which is a pain. Not difficult, just slows me down when I want to get going!

We had one that we used to restain the spindles around our deck – awesome! I never tried it for priming furniture but what a time saver! Mind you with scenery like you’ve got, spending time out there priming wouldn’t be all that bad 🙂

My husband uses the sprayer on everything, wicker furniture, outdoor table and chairs, pots, just about everything. I agree, it sure speeds things up. I can’t wait to see what you are doing with these pieces.

Gah!! You have inspired me!! My husband bought a paint sprayer a few years back when we remodeled our basement–he painted the “wood ceiling” white (aka the underneath part of the first floor). I need to steal his sprayer to tackle our hifi! 🙂
