I sure hope you are loving this series, because I think it is great.
These ladies have so much great advice and I am soaking it all in.
It’s time for…
Tip #3
We have the lovely Stephanie from Sabbespot, Christine from Bijou and Boheme, and Sarah from Flourish Design + Style discussing “matching” furniture…cringe.

This mistake is typically made in the bedroom.
I always stay away from bedroom sets that have a matching bed, nightstands, and dresser.
Mix things up, add some personality to the space.
You can even have two different nightstands!
Make sure you come back this afternoon for an overload of fantastic “basic decorating tips” from these ladies!
Love this– agree completely! Take care, Caroline
Great ideas! Mixing it up and adding your own unique style is fun and creative! I am loving this series.
Great advice! Love a bit of personality in a room, and everything matching is a guaranteed way not to show that.
Great advice. I like to mix different wood tones and styles too. Nothing is worse (in decorating) then stores where you buy the whole set and it all goes together.
I am loving this series! Great tips!
I love to mix things up, but will admit…I am guilty of the matching bedroom set. Although the pieces are all from the same collection and are stained the same color, each however is architecturally different…making it less matchy matchy. We do have several other pieces in the room that are not from that collection so it works.
Agree agree agree.
All of these points are TRUE TRUE TRUE!
ahhh thank you! I can’t tell you how many clients I’ve had to convince not to head on over to Leon’s for their BEDROOM SET SALES!! Terrible stuff.
Great tips!! I definitely prefer things that ‘go’ together instead of matching.
wow nice tips ......
