Today, we have Katie from Cove Street here.
Katie full of great ideas and is also a DIY lover!
I am so happy that she agreed to show us her favorite textiles.
Hi guys, I’m Katie from Cove Street and I’m excited to be here today! I adore Danielle and her blog and I can’t wait to share with you, some of my favorite textiles from around my home.
First off is my entry way, I fell in live with this tapestry from Calico Corners but the price tag was fairly steep so I bought 3/4 of a yard and framed some to add a little character to the space.
This ottoman is the perfect spot for my kids to sit and put their shoes on. The black and white “chipper” fabric from premier prints balances out the punch of blue.
A rug can be a textile right? I hope so because this is the best purchase I’ve made in a long time. I’m completely sold on indoor/outdoor rugs, especially black and natural geometric ones 🙂 This print it quite bold but I’m amazed at how the rug blends without being understated.
My little Owen’s nursery is a favorite spot of mine, largely because of the textiles in here. I paired this floral from calico corners with an inexpensive solid and stripe and I think it makes the room. I love the texture that the nubby throw adds to the space, it makes you want to curl up and get cozy.
Lastly, I don’t think a room is complete until the personal items are added. My mother-in-law is an amazing quilter who made this beauty for Owen. (sorry, not the best picture) the colors are what draw me in, nothing matches but everything blends. Just how I like it!
Thanks so much for taking the time to look, and to Danielle for having me today!
I love her framed tapestry, the color and pattern is stunning.
I also adore her baby quilt, the color and detail is so charming.
Thanks so much Katie!
I really like this idea of taking an expensive fabric that you love and framing it. I think this makes even the most expensive fabrics accessible to those with a budget.
Love the geometric rug!! And just saw your posting about Emory from yesterday — SO glad she is ok!!
Gorgeous home. That little baby’s nursery is too perfect. I just want to curl up and go to bed in that crib!
What an adorable nursery…so precious!!
What a great idea framing just a piece of fabric you love! And, the quilt is precious.

Gorgeous!!! I love how she framed some $$ fabric and made it have such impact. Her son’s nursery is just divine- loved this tour!!
So pretty. I love the indoor outdoor rug.
Beautiful collection of fabric and I’m especially digging the frame fabric!!
The quilt is beautiful! That is a great idea to frame a piece of fabric. So often I fall in love with fabrics that are out of my budget and this is a wonderful way to have the fabric in an affordable way. I hope your daughter is feeling better today!
love that rug, I’ve had it on my wish list for awhile now- I feel like I should just bite the bullet and get it already
Everything is gorgeous. I especially love Katie’s ottoman! Great feature, Danielle.
that is the most beautiful quilt! love it. fabulous rug as well.
Thanks Katie! I’ve been dying to find that “chipper” fabric in an affordable price, but I never knew what it was called, you are a lifesaver! 🙂
Where is this rug from? I’m dying for it.
