As you know, my husband is a second year medical student.
Since medical school is very expensive and I am a stay-at-home mom, we never have much money to spend on decor.
My husband has at least 6 more years of school left, which means I have no choice but get used to a thrifty lifestyle.
Luckily, I find great joy in designing on a small budget.
There is nothing better than seeing a beautiful room come together on a dime.
Style at Home’s High and Low series makes me giddy.
They take an expensive room and recreate it for less.
$17, 485
$4,636
$20,893
$4,408
Incredible, right?
These rooms excite me and they almost look identical.
I would love to do something like this for a client.
If you have room you are drooling over, send it my way!
I love this idea. I totally agree with this. I think even if you had the money to spend, why would you do it if you can get the same thing for less.
That is almost too close to believe! I kept scrolling back and forth..pretty incredible! And also encouraging to us with much smaller budgets!
I just did that scrolling backwards & forwards thing as well, its ridiculously close. Im a designer & love beautiful things but have spent many years as a singal mum before meeting my gorgeous boyfriend a year ago so my home has been done on a budget. For every designer store theres somewhere that will do a cheaper version of what you want its a case of keeping your eyes peeled. Thank goodness for the land of blogging hey girls 🙂
This is SO cool! I think I would feel super victorious to recreate an ENTIRE room for less. Can’t wait to try it some time.
It incredible how lose they can be. Just requires some extra research to find the right items for less. Thanks for following my blog. I’m your newest follower.
I really love this series they have on their website as well. Although most of them are not really my style i am so in awe of how much less is spent. It begs the question is interior design most effective in price or in the design itself.
Mr. Goodwill Hunting
LOVE this concept! Those rooms look identical.
What a great idea. These are gorgeous!
Seriously? They look identical… I love that! My husband hasn’t even started medical school yet… I need to learn how to do this!
I love a good look for less. In the second room my eye went straight to the art and it looks exactly the same in both images!
that is absolutely THE best!!!! I’m ALL about getting it for less and looking JUST as good!
Serioiusly i had to go back and forth a few times to check they werent the same image – so cool! xxxx
Awesome! Thanks for sharing that. I’m definitely going to check it out.
I’m with you on being thrifty on interiors, I love being able to create gorgeous looks on a tight budget. I can’t believe that these rooms can look so alike but yet a fraction of the cost. Thanks for sharing this inspiration! xx
I love this idea. I think the creativity of doing design on a smaller budget is part of the fun.
