Happy Monday!
I am so excited to announce the winner of the Simple Sage Pillow Giveaway.
What a great way to start the week!
The winner is lucky number 7!
which is Jessie from The Long and Short of It.
Congrats Jessie!
Also, I have been busy working on re-designing my master bedroom.
I am also trying to do it for C-H-E-A-P.
I had a little leftover navy trim from my DIY table skirt.
Seemed like the prefect solution to dress up my not-so-great lamps.
I REALLY want new ones but that doesn’t seem practical.
Here are my lamps before…
And testing out the ribbon…
I taped it in place just to see if I like it.
Turned out I did.
Don’t you think it looks better?
I didn’t have enough trim from both bedside lamps so I ended up cutting the trim in half.
5. Glue trim in desired position
6. Wrap trim around shade and glue together.
10 minutes later and zero dollars spent, I am happy.
The lamp looks fabulous! I’m actually glad you didn’t et new ones because the base of the lamp is so pretty!

Your lamp looks great and I love navy. Also, just saw your skirt and it turned out great too. Somehow I missed that post.
The lamps looks great! I’m so loving navy blue.
Nice! And funny, I’m making custom lampshades out of my leftover headboard fabric and trimming them out with navy bias tape. I’ll share them soon!
You definitely hit the nail on the head! Or the glue on the ribbon… : ) Seriously, great job!
Love the blue trim and congrats to the winner:)
The lamps look great now. Really add a pop of color!
i am always amazed at what a little trim can do!

The border totally changes the look – love it! And I adore your new blog design!
I love blue anywhere. The lamps look great!

Trim always adds a touch of elegance…great makeover! And congrats to the winner!
Looks great! Such a nice little upgrade
Perfect!
I’m about to do this to a very plain white shade…but it’s tricky as the shade bells out at the bottom, and has raised trim going vertically every 5″. Stay tuned to see what I do!
those look really great! i love the navy…and love the added ‘ooomph’
What a simple change and it looks so great! I have a few lampshades that could use some jazzing up!
