diy & potty training

i just want to sit and relax by this fireplace.
this room is calling my name.

unfortunately there is NO time for relaxation over at our abode.
i decided to tackle the dreadful job of potty training!
we completed day one, i think i lost.
potty: 1 – floor: 123324!
please tell me it gets better.
the only good thing about potty training is that we have to stay home.
this gives me plenty of time to finish up my lingering diy projects.
emory’s nightstand = painted!
i just need to put the hardware on.

i also sewed 2 pillows, painted the chalkboard, applied fabric to the back of the bookcase, prepared the child’s size rocker for painting, and finalized the lay-out for the gallery wall.

i love including personal items into a design.
emory’s miraculous beginning is something i wanted to incorporate in the room.
a gallery wall seems like the perfect way to display her incredible story.

now i am exhausted and smell like pee, lovely.

It does get better! There are all kinds of tips and tricks, but each child is individual so what works for one doesn’t always work for another. Trust me…I taught 2 year old preschool years ago and had half of my class training at one time!!!

Can’t wait to see her room come together. Love the idea of the gallery wall. The pictures are precious and certainly tell her story.

Oh goodness, I don’t even want to think about potty training…I have a couple more months to go!

I think that gallery wall of Emory’s life thus far is a great idea! I can’t believe that teeny tiny baby turned into your little girl above…so beautiful!

I potty-trained my twins a couple of years ago. Exhausting and smelt like TWO lots of pee!! Nice….

    It definitely does get better.

I’m so impressed with how much you’ve got done. And I REALLY love the idea of putting up pictures of your little girl’s life so far. I might be…errr….stealing that idea!! There’s just no nice way to say it, is there?!
